No, no, no. You have Santa Clause mixed up with something else. Santa Clause are those guys that hang around busy sidewalks taking money for the poor and sitting in the mall, sometimes via helicopter, promising greedy little snot nosed brats materialistic gain.

Interesting aside about Santa Clause. Kids are told the lie that he exists and they believe it without question. Then they are told that he doesn't actually exist and they believe it without question even though they may see half a dozen of them on the aforementioned sidewalks and shopping malls.

Some people believe in God without question and then change their minds without question, too. The more you look into it the more you see how real it is and can tell the difference between the impersonators or misrepresentation.

Nah... it's the end times myth that's the real lie that people are told as children. Sadly, unlike kids and Santa Claus, FAR too many adults never grow outgrow the stage where they'll believe any ridiculous claim without verifiable evidence.

Actually verifiable evidence has enabled us to determine that the Earth orbits the sun, that electrons can be manipulated so we can communicate via the Internet, and that certain vaccines can virtually eliminated horrible diseases. Without verifiable evidence people are apt to believe almost any ridiculous claim... and sadly many people often do. All I have to do is look at some of the OPs you've made to find verifiable evidence of that.

OK lets see you back up that claim.

That's because "verifiable evidence" is a myth 9 times out of 10 you hear an atheist propagandist mention it.

Not this again. Every time someone claims "end times", there is a big hoopula, lots of shouting and end the end? Lots of folk are defrauded out of their life's savings. Meanwhile the originator of the claim can't be found, and the bank accounts are mysteriously empty....

.... hmmmmm....

Excellent work, Bob. The rapture is unscriptural nonsense created by John Darby in the late 19th century. If those people would have verified the teaching by doing just a little research they wouldn't have gotten what they deserve. Ripped off. And the vanishing claimant of which you speak wouldn't have had the chance to do his work.

Happy to.

1. On August 21st of 2017 we experience a total solar eclipse. The fact that we were able to predict down to the second precisely when this eclipse would occur is verifiable evidence that the theory of heliocentrism is accurate.

2. YOU posted here on the Internet site and so have I! Contrary to what you might believe, the reason we can do this ISN'T because of magical fairies that live in your computer, it's due to the fact that we've learned how to manipulate electrons because of our understanding on electron theory.

3. Prior to the introduction of the polio vaccine there were just under 60,000 cases of polio in the United States. Over the past thirty years with virtually everyone receiving a polio vaccine, there have been ZERO cases of polio in the United States. This is verifiable evidence that the polio vaccine is effective at eradicating polio.

No. You didn't make any of those claims. Your claim was . . .

All I have to do is look at some of the OPs you've made to find verifiable evidence of that.

That's the claim you need to back up.

Really? You're incapable of pointing out specifically where on this thread an atheist used "verifiable evidence" that is a myth? Kind of leads to me to believe that you just made that up.

no, but I think we should give you some time, don't you? We are waiting for you to provide evidence of the claim you made. If you can do it I was wrong, if you can't, I was right. We're waiting . . .

Actually, I DID make all of those claims... but I confess that I didn't realize what claiom you were talking about.

Here goes! And I only had to look at the OP's you've started in the last two days.

Nice work, Questioning Mind, but do you think it'll hold up to peer review?!

I shouldn't have said that, considering who your peers are.

I can't wait to see the technological advances in the new system! Imagine, instead of having to imagine what the future will bring all you will have to do is wait for it. Imagine how much more we could do learning, not from imperfect men, but the Creator of the universe, Jehovah God! We won't have to guess how old the universe is or where life came from, we will know. From someone who was there and made it all happen. Instead of working on something for 40 years or so you could work on it for 1,000 or more. Not to mention our intelligence will be remarkably superior to what it is now. In the new system.

Nudge, nudge.

It is written that God will give is a pure language -written from his perspective -not our perspective of ignorance. (Search "pure language")
Also, that we will be given "glorious" bodies -of similar working to that by which Christ is able to subdue all things unto himself -such as when he -as the Word -created all things in the first place. (Search "vile body", "all things were made by him", "spirit of God moved upon")

When we serve God with one consent -there is no longer threat of conflict -have improved capabilities -and our speech is no longer confused -anything we imagine will be possible. We would probably have destroyed ourselves long ago if our speech was not confused.....

Gen 11:1And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. 2And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. 4And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. 5And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

I'm getting pretty old here, was the Babel tower before or after Noah's flood, I mean `God's` flood.
When all the people on Earth were scattered around the Earth ? It's a shame to forget all this stuff ?
A little help here ?

Yes, I do.
I realize it was tongue in cheek but lets not accidentally misinform about peer review. Peer review means putting one's reputation on the line both by criticizing others works and prolifically creating new research that is reviewed by competitors for mistakes. A red faced mistake is no small matter in true peer review, and that means perfection is required and broad knowledge of what is known as well as skill in calculation, in perception, in communication, planning and ability to absorb and learn. You do not just do peer review once in a while or publish now and then. If you do only that you are out.
