It's not the only way - when the Republican party finds itself again and abandons this infatuation with cults of personality and authoritarianism, that is also a very viable solution. Several opportunities have presented itself for a return to actual conservatism and several more will inevitably come down the pipeline. Republicans with dignity and honor still absolutely exist. I still don't agree with them on a lot of policy positions, but that's fine. When those Republicans wrest their party back from the authoritarians, we'll be happily waiting and I might actually be able to seriously look at their candidates again when considering who to vote for.
None of this will happen until a huge majority of republican politicians lose their positions. Only then will they finally accept the reality that toadying to this fascist insanity will NOT get them elected. And when they can't get elected, the corporate bribe money will stop rolling in. So like it or not WE are the only solution. WE have to get rid of them ourselves, and we have to do it very decisively or they will simply keep pushing their insanity as they believe it's their only pathway to money and power.

There is no need for such an act because it would be redundant; Schumer needs to read the US Constitution, particularly Article I, Section 9, Clause 8: No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States.
The Supreme Court needs to read the Constitution, and more than that they need to make decision in accordance with the Constitution.

It is on an one or the other situation. They can work on both. And they should and I think they are.

Even if it doesn't pass on first try, let there be a first try for the history books to show who was aware of the problem and who was trying to find a constitutional solution and who was blocking the attempt. Better the first of multiple efforts before eventual success than never trying and never succeeding.
