The Palestinian Papers

Are you crazy? Have you even been monitoring exactly what Fatah's position is? Implicit intention to destroy Israel? What a paranoid statement!
Let's examine what Fatah's position really is. This is from a report on the Fatah conference of 2009 (held for the first time in 20 years):

"The newly elected central committee and revolutionary council will be responsible for carrying out the governing principles of Fatah, which were refined at the conference. While the political program reflected Mr. Abbas's preference for Western-backed peace talks with Israel, nostalgia for Fatah's original role as leader of the armed struggle against Israel was evident. A huge poster of Arafat served as a backdrop to the conference, which revisited the party's charter but left intact a call to "liquidate the Zionist entity." The congress adopted a resolution that all of Jerusalem be returned to the Palestinians and asserted the right of Palestinian refugees to return to homes left before the 1948 war over Israel's independence. In addition, a Fatah policy statement issued during the conference reserved the right to exercise "resistance" in "all its forms" if future peace negotiations were not successful."

(Abbas emerges stronger from Fatah conference - CSMonitor.com)

So Fatah reserves the right to exercise "resistance" (ie. terrorism) if negotiations with Israel are "unsuccessful."

Yet, the goals of these negotiations, as the Fatah conference states, are the return of Palestinian refugees into Israel, and the return of all of Jerusalem.

In other words, given Fatah unreasonable demands, the negotiations are guaranteed to be "unsuccessful." Which would lead to Fatah returning to its original role: the "liquidation of the Zionist entity" (political, economic, and cultural, as Fatah's 12th article of the constitution states).

It's not paranoia when they are really out to get you...

Also, you notice how neither the return of refugees into Israel nor the "return" of all of Jerusalem to the Palestinians are in any way necessary for the viability of a Palestinian state? It is more important for Fatah to make unreasonable claims than to care for Palestinians who are living under occupation. Such hypocrisy, and a disgusting state of affairs!

The Palestinians should be thankful that Israel is even giving them a deal because there is already a Palestinian state in Jordan but yet it is Jews who have to sacrifice again. Arabs should apreciate the fact that Jews in nature are not as agrresive as Arabs otherwise everything would be a lot different.
