The Problem with Belief in God

Cacotopia

Let's go full Trottle
You cannot prove something that does not exist with anything in this universe, as the universe and everything in it....exists. = proving a false positive, evidence of absence, proving non-existence. It is impossible to prove the non existence of gods.

The only thing one can do is look for errors in the inspiration of these gods, if it proven to be fallacious while the claim also asserts perfection, then it is indeed false.

Bible in particular, anthropomorphizes their god. Humans are by by Gaussian proportions not perfect, and our own body "design" is quite poor. curved spine, exposed vital organs, joints that don't last, blind spots in the eye, faulty lenses etc etc etc, yet bible proclaims that humans were designed, but does not account for vestigial organs. And evolution, thus false in my book. God's personality changes, quite a bit throughout the bible and yet he is "unchanging."

Islam: there are hundreds of fallacious claims about meteorology, biology, anatomy, astronomy, etc etc etc, for a book that claims perfection it sure has a lot of mistakes in there.

Perfection is a very fragile concept, which is probably why people want their religion to be inviolable.

The wise in India give very clear instructions how to work this out. Not easy to accomplish but simple it is.

Does God, being the Creator exists?

Step 1:
You do understand that this question is 100 times more complicated than Einstein asking a baby how the Relativity Theory of Einstein works.

So first we need to get to level "Einstein" and beyond to say anything useful IMHO
Not everyone here is einstein level me included. In my opinion this debate should never happen, keep your beliefs internal and everyone is better off not knowing what everyone else thinks on the topic.

If you could have the ability to trace love to its source, you might have an argument that would be fleeting at best. If a person was to compare the evidence of God in a comparative way, it would follow God would be no more or less fleeting as the source used in substantially defining such things.
Those who have made the journey know that it is only fleeting to those who have not.

Fredrick nietzche the non believer and his father Karl a priest believer both ended up in disaster much like you describe!!!!!

I also saw it explained scientifically on the documentary star trek. It's the doppelganger effect where opposites are convinced they are way different!!!

Yeah. The star trek episode also has a political message (as many do). Both sides fighting with each other (racism-black/white) even though they both the same type of being. Makes you wonder what unseen and small biases that blind us to and make us treat others unlike they want to be treated.

And believers simply do not need evidence, and use the lack of evidence of a god as evidence for the possibility of a god. Or make the blind assumption that there is one, because we haven't found evidence yet, the old "I don't know therefore god." What I would coin gnostic ignorance.
There is evidence but there is no proof that God exists.

Evidence: the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid:
Proof: evidence or argument establishing or helping to establish a fact or the truth of a statement:

Most believers do need evidence and the evidence is the messengers that God sends to speak for Him in every age. The fact that nonbelievers do not believe that they are evidence does not mean they are not evidence. It just means they do not recognize the evidence that is recognized by most of the world population, most of whom believe in God because of the revealed religions.

God is not going to provide some other kind of evidence just to get everyone to believe in Him because God does not need our belief.

The debate between the belief and lack of and rejection of creator will not cease until evidence is found for the existence of such a being.
so go look in a mirror....and say to yourself.....

what I see is an accident
with no hope of continuance after the last breath
and there is nothing to consider beyond that point

yeah right

With so few exceptions, if any at all, metaphysical speculations are both fruitless and endless. I warn you -- all of you! -- down that path lies no less terrifying an end than epistemic madness!
especially if you end up in a crowd of spirit.....
that thinks and feels as you do

Only after death will we know whether God exists (or not), until then we will continue to discuss this ad infinitum.
