The rain is supposed to turn into snow at 2pm.
Even though we expect several inches, we're
not hooking up the snowplow. It'll all melt soon.

I wish my mom wasn't such a ***** when it comes to teaching me how to sew. I finally got her to teach the bare-bones minimum, and with another sewing project it's like trying to pull teeth again. I have an old sewing machine, but have no idea how to use it or get it going, and my mom decides she'll help on a day I won't be here because it's the same day I need this project done by for the next larp event.

I noticed something/had an interesting thought I was returning kids from a visitation and planning out my next day (today now) in my head, and I had the thought "oh, great, I get to put up with those annoying white boys."
Most of my clients are black.

Rain tonight changes to snow tomorrow....not exactly sure what the total will be, it is wither 1 to 3 inches or 3 to 6 inches....I am however sure that my old house is getting 8 to 16 inches...but I no longer live there so I don't care.

What the hell happened? It's like the UK got teleported to the Arctic! It's below freezing and snowing like crazy! People here aren't equipped for dealing with this.

I mean, I was used to it in Canada, but I've been living here for nearly a decade (wow time flies) so it's super unusual. Normally it starts getting warmer and some flowers are starting to pop out. I'm afraid the daffodils sprouts are now completely crushed... The little guys will have to wait longer this year. Yes I'm anthropomorphising flowers, I imagine them having a contest on who gets out first... Why are you looking at me like that?

It generally takes decades for that to become evident. But if you inject to much fresh water in the oceanic conveyor belt system it will shut down...then you have real problems,. And with the North Pole being above freezing you get a lot of fresh water put into the system. They believe that an underwater landside might have possibly disrupted the system and caused the little Ice age that spanned from the 1300s to the mid 1800s

Yeah I've seen this theory before, it's truly terrifying, to be honest. The UK (and much of Europe) is warmed by that conveyor. It would be a lot colder here if it wasn't, since we're quite up north in latitude. But beyond where I live, I know it could have a devastating impact on the world overall, not just with cold but extreme weather in general. We're only tasting a small sample of it and people think it's bad?

...It can get a LOT worse.

I think the Weather forecasters gave up trying...yesterday morning the predicted snow amounts were 1 to 3 inches....last night they changed to 3 to 6 inches...this morning they changed to 6 to 9 inches....now they do not appear to be trying to figure out how much snow we are going to get.... no more estimates are being given

Tomorrow is LARP day. I'll wake up early, straighten my hair, paint my nails, get dressed for the special in-game event tomorrow, get my hair braided, do my makeup very nice, and sit in eager anticipation as I anticipate my first dual of the night/first head I get lop off someone's body. I will look spectacular and be as deadly as a viper. What a great combination! :D

Americastan's voters are highly engaged with the issues of the day.
I have proof!

My "issue of the day" is the big reveal about what deleted scenes will be in the forthcoming Star Wars BluRay. That's a real issue with real facts and real consequences.
