The Random, Meaningless Announcements Thread 3!

Well. Looks like I'm camping out tonight. Coyotes spooked some geese and my chickens early this morning. It was a very fowl morning to say the least. I've set some traps/bait out and going to lay in wait.
Is that you in the pic? You have chickens too.So do I.Cool!:)

Aaannddd I did. :D

Oh good, I'm used to you being called Starry! :D Either way, I liked both usernames. They're both poetic.

I've been feeding my cat a raw meat diet (commercially prepared, I don't want to make it myself) and it really puts me off meat...

In my case however, it's not a bad thing, I want to eat vegetarian/vegan most of the time.

The headache that just wouldn't go away yesterday decided to bless me this morning by turning into a full-fledged sunglasses wearing pill poppin' migraine. And extra lucky me, I have to go pull my son out of school for an eye exam in about an hour. Oh pain pill, may you kick *** fast. )(

Are you sure you don't have pickanick basket elbow?

Now, I have some useful advice (based on personal experience):
If you really have outer epicondylitis (tennis elbow), you need
to do some things:
- Get a special strap to wear as shown in the link below. It should be adjustable, & not elastic.
- Give that arm a rest. Do nothing which aggravates the pain.
- Avoid gripping anything with that hand to grasp anything with a very open hand.

It will take a good month or so to heal.

Thanks

Check, but hard to do - Give that arm a rest. Do nothing which aggravates the pain.
How exactly do you do that - Avoid gripping anything with that hand to grasp anything with a very open hand.

I would avoid picking up big things like bricks, timbers, rocks & children's heads with the affected hand.
The pinching force combined with the thumb being far from the fingers aggravates the injury.
An additional caution: When curling a weight with your arms, hold your palms up instead of down.

Thanks...and please tell me racking leaves is bad for it.... maybe I can get out of doing that AGAIN this weekend.

Raking (not "racking") leaves is wonderful exercise for the tennis elbow sufferer!
One's hand grips closely around the handle, & there is little weight, but plenty
of motion. I recommend raking leaves each for a half an hour or so for a month.

And just when I thought there was a reason to actually tolerate you...you go and tell me this..... and if you want to rake leaves then you go right ahead.... I Prefer to Rack them

I do bring potentially good news though.
Your tennis elbow won't be aggravated by:
- Watching porn
- Eating bacon
- Buying a new Hawaiian shirt
- Sipping a nice brandy
- Enjoying a walk on a beach at sunset with the paramour of your choice
