Cats are untrustworthy, of course. They lie about being hungry when all they want to do is complain that you are serving them dreck. Why is Infowars untrustworthy?

Well I wouldn't trust THIS cat.....or the Scot
So, apparently, when you first start working out and increasing your fitness level, you may gain a few pounds from retaining water weight so your body has enough stored up to sweat it out.
That's why when I was on the big diet, I went not only by weight but also by waist size. Weight alone is incomplete. There are many sites which discuss this including:Muscle is heavier than fat.

Your body mass index (BMI) is based on your height and weight. It’s a good tool to help measure body fat – and gauge your chances of disease. But it isn’t foolproof. If you're muscular, the BMI can overstate your body fat. If you're older and have less muscle mass, it can understate your body fat. BMI is just a guess at the link between your weight and health

Is just prefer going by how my clothes fit. In that case, a belt being absolutely mandatory for a pair of jeans that were too tight a year ago feels great. Except when you have to keep pulling them up Due to not having a belt.I am tall and quite slim (was called beanpole at school) I prefer BMI to weight on its own. As long as i stay the right side of the underweight line i am happy.
I doubt its muscle. I've felt abit bloated for awhile, with my pants feeling abit snug, and it does roughly correlate when I ramped up my workout and started soaking my shirt about 3/4 the way down. I've had some issues with constipation, so it does seem probable my body has started to cling into water (and recently I haven't had to necessarily go in the middle of the night to pee or as often).Anymore, after my aerobic workout my shirt has little in regards to spots that are dry.Muscle is heavier than fat.

Unfortunately, it took me a good long while to realize you have to eat less, especially carbs, when you just can't be active all day every day anymore.I dont have the problem of not fitting into my jeans, but I'm told its s sign you are winning when they fit again.

Some of it is muscle, because I certainly have begun toning and firming them, but certainly not a few pounds worth.
