I have found that even green tea has aftereffects. Its nice for an hour or so, but then comes a period of excessive hunger, possibly anxiety and irritability. Its not as strong as with coffee but still there.

It takes me five heaping spoonfuls of folgiers medium decaff to make a nice tasting mug of coffee. Five heaping spoons. I went through a canister practically overnight, but I could say I had switched to decaff.That's why I drink a pot of coffee every morning, then another pot in the afternoon - and then another in the evening.
