That's why I love living here. I walked about 3 and a half miles one way to get my shot today. My knee really hurt a few times, my feet have blisters, but the weather is lovely and the lengthy walk there and back did not include scouting for potential places to duck behind to pee or thinking of the closest gas station or fast food place that lets non-paying customers use their bathroom.

Weather has nothing to do with going for a walk....it is all my knees. I've gone for walks in a blizzard....

Not me. The cold for me was a double whammy, with worse pains from the cold and dampness and the risks of slipping on ice.

We're strong, very strong, dealing with earthquakes, fires and everything else that goes on out here. After all, you've noted that about us in the past so don't go arguing the opposite now.
You guys just can't handle any temps below 70F.

With the threat of covid ending for me, I really need to look into getting out on my own again. Things aren't working out as planned, I'm remembering who my parents really are (and it will be impossible for me to have minimal stress recovering from surgeries here), and it's unfair my mom is refusing to be vaccinated, putting unfair pressure on my dad and me to not bring covid home to her. I'm soon to be safe, I want to go stuff and not worry about bringing anything home.
And, honestly, I am terrified of being too closely associated with their MidWest Hoosier ways. I don't want to be anywhere around here in the event my dad says "zebra" in public here to refer to an interracial child, something that is tolerated and even applauded in Indiana but obviously something that won't be well received here if you take a good look around. "Tomato picker" comments also have me worried.

You & your celebrities.
And I mentioned the weather. Hoosiers are the real weakling weenies who can't take a little heat. I would assume the MidWest in general, but I don't know them like I do that inversed Kern county where the real Red Conservatives roam and hunt. Turns out their precious sun that drives away evil and vampires can even drive pesky Conservatives away when it cranks the heat up. They are saying "wahhh....it's too hot," and me, the ginger who burns like a vampire here, says this heat is just fine by me. I just still have to focus on getting used to it and perceiving it as hot. Because I'm apparently tougher than a Hoosier despite growing up in their land and I don't think the heat is all that bad here.
So, it looks to me Indiana is for the weak.

We midwesterners hate the heat cuz it's too easy.

The ones I've heard run away and say "**** that ****."
But this Californian has slept in 10 degrees and tolerated 110 just fine. Something your run of the mill Hoosier can't do.
You don't even have any humidity.
I lived in CA....never cold...never too hot.
