I think I decided I'm going to go with a writing career of sorts. When it comes to editing, the only thing I lack is professional experience and exposure the preparing to print part of it. When it comes to writing, I know a few of the major style guides, including AP and the minimalist style of journalism, which sucks (minimalist writing, that is).
I need more than just a cheap ****ty computer program (which all say writing anyways) and trying to figure out things as I go along to help me decide a career path. For all I know, I could find a decent career that I'd like with just my education for a bachelors, but coming from an area where it's mostly farmers, factories, lawyers, doctors, and fast-food/retail, and hardly anything else, it's hard to know exactly what's out there.
Maybe I should take a year off, rather than a semester, just so I can try and figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
