I think I decided I'm going to go with a writing career of sorts. When it comes to editing, the only thing I lack is professional experience and exposure the preparing to print part of it. When it comes to writing, I know a few of the major style guides, including AP and the minimalist style of journalism, which sucks (minimalist writing, that is).
I need more than just a cheap ****ty computer program (which all say writing anyways) and trying to figure out things as I go along to help me decide a career path. For all I know, I could find a decent career that I'd like with just my education for a bachelors, but coming from an area where it's mostly farmers, factories, lawyers, doctors, and fast-food/retail, and hardly anything else, it's hard to know exactly what's out there.
Maybe I should take a year off, rather than a semester, just so I can try and figure out what I want to be when I grow up.

I just found out I was not invited to my high school 10 year reunion.:(
Not that I planned on going, but the thought would have been nice.
Oh well. Another reason to hate the school that didn't even acknowledge I graduated.

I doubt I would. Those I'd want to see I mostly keep in touch with (and they weren't invited either), but there are far more in grades above or below me that I'd rather see.
High school really wasn't a good time for me.

I wasn't thrilled with high school either (perhaps less unthrilled than you). But it turned out that at reunions, people were friendlier than I recall....some whom I didn't even know back then.

Maybe.
One girl (I guess she wouldn't be a girl anymore) I'd like to see again was a really good artist, and by stroke of luck my brother ended up working for her dad. My brother was going to ask her to draw him up some tattoo designs because she her dad told my brother how good of an artist she is, and then they moved to Tennessee. Her sister was also fun to hang out with, but she was a grade or two above me.
I started to be pretty good friends with guy who is the son of the local UAW president (at least at the time president), but I've only ran into him once since high school and I didn't even recognize him, but he recognized me.
One person I'd like to see again has died. Most people say from a drug overdose, but those closer to him say it was head trauma.
I know a few of my class peers are in jail right now, but they were jerks and have been trouble makers since elementary school.
Really, I'd rather have a reunion with a few of my teachers than my class mates (especially one particular teacher in mind, but he died a couple years after I graduated. I joked with a class mate in college on how he was an official graduate of the high school for having had this teacher, who was a teacher for so long he was the teacher your grandpa had).

Tomorrow I have to find out what's up with my bass!
After I tell my therapist I wasn't exaggerating when I told him people do not invite me to things. And after I get a signature from my doctor so I can keep my health insurance. And after school, which is my philosophy class that is covering Foucault right now, his book Discipline & Punish, in which my experience of "be popular and conforming or else" can be related, but then also related back to Nietzsche who we covered in class earlier, who gave one of the best looking middle fingers to the herd.
But then, BUT THEN! I will hopefully have my bass back and I can pour my soul into it. This guitar thing just isn't doing it. Deep emotional feelings require deep notes to be played. And all the stuff I'm going through now, worrying about the future, my post-education, career, transition, moving, everything, I'll should be able to pour out a lot of material.

I'm about to go through violent withdrawals from not having my bass! A few days has turned into almost a few weeks! Even though I've almost got House of the Rising Sun down (I just realized, yesterday, it's a slow strum of a few chords), this guitar thing ain't cuttin' it!

Note to self: trying to practice playing a guitar with your teeth does not work out that well when you have a lip ring in that isn't a hoop.
Drunken or sober, I'm sure either one is not a fun experience when you get a part of the ring caught in the strings.

You mean you don't?

hmm... you're um, free this weekend ?

Yep! I'll book my ticket to Saudi Arabia immediately! :D

In all seriousness, I actually wanted to go to school for something more artistic, but was pressured by my family to pursue something more science related at, not only the Bachelors level, but into the Masters level. This is primarily because, like, 80% of my family dropped out of high school. As such, I was really pressured to go into something that would earn me money and have a relatively decent job security.

In reality, I love make up and wanted to go for a Cosmetology diploma and perhaps a Bachelors in Theatre. Nothing is really stopping me from doing that now per se; except for the lack of $.

Oh, and I thought we could do fun stuff together :(

Well anyways :)

You seem to have plans after all. Sometimes things seem not within your reach, but they actually are with other factors that help extending your reach to catch it. Look around, work harder, and many doors will appear to open for you.

Best of luck in your endeavors bro :)
