At least we don't have gendered nouns. We may have stuff like that, but we don't have to remember what the gender for every little thing is.
One weird thing I've noticed, when someone says English is one of the hardest languages to learn (well, the first thing I've noticed they never mention the native speakers of what languages struggle with it), it's generally, very typically, almost always a native English speaker who says this, while those who learn it as as second language generally say something close to "it's not too hard."

I get to work on my car today. I have to take off the steering hub on the front drivers side tire to get a new wheel bearing pressed on, and on the passenger side I get to take the tire off so I can put on a new windshield fluid motor.

In a small way we do.
The sun is male, but was female a couple hundred years ago.
Cars & boats are female.
