Lucky you!Oh I love going for a cleaning, which is all I am scheduled for.
I used to tell the hygienist that her cleanings were much better than office meetings. I knew why I was seeing her, what the benefit would be, how long the pain would last and that when I left the chair I did not carry the pain with me. Meetings were often meaningless, unending, painful and that the emotional pain lasted after the meeting was over.Oh I love going for a cleaning, which is all I am scheduled for.
I had a cleaning yesterday, I hate them, but then I have overly sensitive teeth.... and they found a cavity I need to get filled on Monday....first cavity in a long time, at least the first one that the dentist did not tell me I needed a crownOh I love going for a cleaning, which is all I am scheduled for.
I know! I feel great about it!Lucky you!
I know what you mean.I haven't gone in a long time. 300 is a lot for a cleaning... I just try to keep brushing.
I have dental insurance, at least until 3 years after I retire...then..... I'm on my ownI know what you mean.
I decided to excerpt just a couple of bits. The first is cost ranges they've found in the Bay Area and the second is about dental clinics attached to schools.I subscribe to a consumer site where people leave reviews. It's higher quality because you have to be a member but it's totally worth it. My latest email from them fits in the toothsome set of posts
How to Take a Big Bite Out of Dental Costs
I wonder if we have any dental schools around here.I decided to excerpt just a couple of bits. The first is cost ranges they've found in the Bay Area and the second is about dental clinics attached to schools.

Consider a dental clinic.
To provide hands-on experience for their students, dental schools operate clinics where students treat patients under the supervision of dental school faculty; the University of California, San Francisco and the University of the Pacific operate such clinics. We’ve found prices at dental clinics to be significantly lower than average prices for dental practices. Keep in mind that if you need extensive treatment, it is likely to take longer at a dental school clinic than with a private dentist.
