Like you, I see closeness due to shared blood as something imagined. If I were to interact with aunts and cousins, I would be the oddball and it would just be awkward for everybody.
That reminds me of a certain problem. If a majority wants A while a minority wants B, then both the majority and the minority get A. The perspective and wishes of the minority are conveniently ignored. Ultimately, just show the majority and the minority that both of them matter by giving A and B to whoever desires A and B, and say, ‘All are valued here.’
Yesterday was the essay contest at the main academy, which occurs quarterly. While reading some of the essays written by my students, I discovered some ‘new words.’ One of the new words was dectioning. The student used it this way: ‘Each of us is unique and dectioning.’ The essay topic, by the way, was ‘How Do You Look?’
