I am deeply saddened by what i see of the US election results. I really thought that the American people, in general, had more sense.

I've lived here all my life, and to be honest, I still haven't been able to make much sense out of this place. Not that things are really that bad. I honestly don't know where we're headed at this point, but I'm not predicting a worst-case scenario.
I get the impression that Trump, despite anything he might want to do, doesn't seem to be that much of a workhorse or with the necessary organizational and managerial skills to be able to do whatever it is he thinks he wants to do. Most likely, he will have to surround himself with a cadre of obsequious sycophants, who will no doubt be just as sleazy and corrupt as Trump. Good luck getting anything done with a crew like that.
But the other side of that is that some of the more wretched right-wing state governors might feel they have a free hand to "do their worst." The nation's heartland states will likely be a sight to behold in the coming years. The Westboro Baptist Church is certain to become more loud and brazen than they already are. "Florida Man" will become even more crazy and outrageous.
