Is the response you're waiting for to tell you you're eligible to teach abroad as well as the specific country?

If it's a non-english speaking place are you going to teach them how to spell "pikcha" and "secks"? 'Cause that'd be dynamite.

That would be dynamite, but it's just to know if I get to go at all. If I do get to go, I won't know where until as late as October. O_O Yes, that's right, almost an entire year from now! But I don't student teach until Spring 2011. It's spelled "Pic-cha" though... You broomhead.

I knew I misspelled "pic-cha" but I decided to face the music and not edit it.
I'm a better man for it, though still broom headed. :(

I think your opportunity to experience life outside the states for even a brief time is dynamite. :)

I understand the sentiment. I live 8 hours away by car from the nearest civilization (Winnipeg and Minneapolis are both 8-9 hours away by car). Today, on a Friday night, since we had nothing better to do, my friend and I drove just over 100km to a town of 1800 to explore. We were done in about 10 minutes and drove home in the pitch black with several close calls with deer and huge transport trucks.

There is literally nothing to do but shove your fingers up your rear and whistle Dixie.

I was joking. And furthermore, aren't you going to university to be a chemist? How far away is your Uni?

But I'm glad you have experience with fingers and rears, I'm sure it'll help you when you hit 40.

And I go to Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario. About 125,000 people in the absolute middle of nowhere.
