My son, David is going to be 18 tomorrow. I don't know whether to laugh or cry about this. He doesn't seem to be happy about it- he just told me he didn't want to have to act like an adult.

Then he's got nothing to worry about...very few 18 year olds ever do act like an adult...heck I'm over half a century and I'm not sure I do.

And Happy Birthday to your son

I saw this picture at Facebook and I automatically thought of Revoltingest. :) It's a product you would like, I think. ;)

You make a great point. I'll inform my son that he is not obligated to behave like an adult. Thanks.

He shouldn't worry about it. 18 year old boys and girls never act like adults. Hell some people never "grow up" ...... whatever that is. ;)

If it were up to me, we wouldn't consider people adults until they are 21. At 18 their brain is still in a state where being able to see long term consequences has usually not fully developed. By the age of 21 most people's brains have reached full maturation though.

They can have their moments. It usually takes alot, but it can happen.

Growing up is overratted
It so is. I'm doing good at some of this grown up stuff though, even though I myself have not actually done that. Just today I was out wearing Tripp pants with all the chains and a TOOL shirt. And the rhythm of the clank of the chains as I walked reminded me of the Cybermen. Which then got me thinking of how adorable the 10th Doctor is.

Interesting, I've heard that the Human brain fully matures at 25, although I haven't properly looked into it. Either way, a "teenager" should not be considered and "adult". Atleast in my eyes.

Oh dear, is that what happens when you play a lot? Then I don't know what I am anymore! I've been a gamer all my life! So many consoles got to be fused...

I've got an embarrassing confession... My dad is into pseudoscience stuff, like Nibiru, UFOs and whatnot. Everytime he speaks about it, I say I don't believe in those things, he just keeps talking. Is it some sort of commun thing between people like that?

I keep wondering if I should change my username. I've had the same one here for seven years. I wouldn't worry about people not recognizing me because of Tigger. ;)

Glad it made you laugh!

I've been thinking for some time to go vegan... It's something I'd love to do for my own health, the environment and animals of course. I'm not sure I'm strong enough to resist though, I love the taste of meat (I have some once a week, if that, but still) and eggs. Dairy, well I like cheese but that's all I can have, the rest makes me sick! =_= And honestly I have more issues ethically with dairy than (cage free) eggs... But vegan means no eggs.

I'm not sure where to start though... And I imagine it's very awkward socially... I've got a solution for my husband though. Vegan only meal for me, steak on the side for him. Of course in an ideal world he would happilly do the same as me... But this isn't!
