I still remember this SNL skit from 1990, with the late great Phil Hartman playing Trump:

The three-card monte game at the end pretty much sums up Trump, in more ways than one.
That's very nice and delicate wit.
Our humor is much more vulgar and crass. This clip about Trump from 2016 is worth watching. Especially the first minutes. If you don't understand something, ask away, btw it's pretty understandable English. Because of context. :)

I love how the four women feel so proud of being the chosen ones.

Claudia De la Cruz is a mother, popular educator and theologian born in the South Bronx who has spent her life organizing for justice for working people at home and to end U.S. empire abroad. The incident happened at a restaurant in Silt, a town in Lauren Boebert's congressional district, according to The Daily Beast. The outlet reported that Jayson Boebert called the police to the scene, claiming he was a victim of domestic violence.

However, an aide to Lauren Boebert denied these allegations, asserting that the congresswoman did not engage in any form of domestic violence.

According to an aide of Lauren Boebert, the lawmaker had gone to Jayson Boebert’s house to pick up one of their sons, The Daily Beast reported. During this visit, there was a physical interaction where Lauren Boebert allegedly pushed Jayson Boebert away as he attempted to hug her.

I've passed through the town of Silt before. I couldn't understand why they would name a town "Silt."

Lauren Boebert recently announced her decision to run for reelection in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District, switching from the 3rd District, where she has held office since 2021. This move has been widely viewed as an attempt to avoid challenging reelection odds in the 3rd District, where she faced notable challenges from Republican and Democratic opponents. In the 2022 midterms, Boebert narrowly defeated Democrat Adam Frisch by fewer than 600 votes.

And she's trying to switch districts, because she thinks she'll have a better chance in another district, rather than face a rematch with the same guy that almost beat her in the last election (and who is now receiving large amounts of money for his campaign war chest). It seems that some people are rather disappointed in Boebert and would prefer that she not be re-elected to Congress. I can certainly understand such sentiments.

Lol poor Bobo.

Kind of an insanely weak accusation.

She pushed him?

God I'm disgusted about how far domestic violence has been made out to be the nannystate's new boogyman. Hope her ex didn't break a fingernail - Bobo could be looking at serious jail time - pushing someone is a serious indictable offence these days; she'll be lucky if she avoids the death penalty

Seriously though - I don't know what it is about her, but I find Bobo to be pretty entertaining. Like she's a total embarassment as a politician and some of the things she's said and done have been unforgivable but I find her hilarious to watch.

She's the girl you love to hate.

This DV thing could be really good for her - wouldn't be surprised if it was staged - she could do a whole song and dance about it and use it as an example of why government, media and law enforcement should get out of people's private disputes, especially if they're as trivial as this or if there aren't any genuinely aggrreived complainants involved (I'm looking at you, nosey neighbours).

Maybe she'll have her own reality show someday.

Or she might be able to get a job in the Trump administration if he's elected again. Who knows? Maybe she could become an ambassador somewhere.

It's crazy how realistic all of those possibilities seem to me.

Something tells me that congresswoman isn't Bobo hitting the ceiling on her self-actualization.

It's hard for me to fathom, with the way politics has deteriorated so badly. It's like we're digging at the bottom of the barrel for the worst people to serve in public office.

Last seen mingling with the Davos crowd in 2020, when he made a dramatic entrance by landing with a squadron of helicopters, Trump is the last US leader to have show up at the World Economic Forum but has remained a popular topic of conversation for attendees ranging from CEOs, financiers and policymakers.

“You know, we’ve been there before, we survived it, so we’ll see what it means,” BlackRock Inc. Vice Chairman Philipp Hildebrand said in a Bloomberg Television interview. “Certainly from a European perspective, from a kind of globalist, Atlanticist perspective, it’s of course a great concern.”

The former Swiss National Bank president shared the assessment of European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde, who last week said in plain language unusual for a central banker that another term of Trump would clearly be a threat.

This seems to be the place where the rubber meets the road. Trump appears to have become some kind of litmus test for globalism.

Trump would never have gotten to first base, if only the Democrats had ended their support of globalism, ended outsourcing, and went back to supporting the working people of America.

Guys...read the comments in Italian below this video .....to see what Italians think of the Donald. :)
@Stevicus

Well, I saw this other site which had poll results of how Italians view Trump: Italy: opinions on Trump's performance as President 2020 | Statista

So, based on these numbers, it seems as though the majority of Italians don't think too highly of Trump (unless public opinion has changed drastically in the past 3 years, which I doubt). I think his approval numbers are higher in America.

I don't know how this is going to end up, what with all the litigation pending against him. Despite the poll numbers, I don't really think he's going to win the general election in November, if he even gets that far. However, there are also House, Senate, and Gubernatorial elections - and regardless of who wins, it appears that America will continue to face difficult times.

I don't think the bankers interviewed in the article I posted up above really care that much about America itself, as they only seem to care if Trump might get elected. Please don't take this the wrong way, but whenever someone outside of America comments on matters pertaining to American domestic politics, my general assumption is that they care more about their own country than they do about America.

I have decided to start a campaign for Trump. With this song...the only difference is that the refrain will be:
Mr. President, we are with you, thank God Donald is there.

Sung by the same women of course.
You like? ;)
