I am not debating politics with you, it is pointless, we don't agree. never will agree and that is a fact, you think one political party is shiny, great and the bastions of truth and honesty and the other is spawn of Satan... and I do not agree with you and never will, to much experience dealing directly with both parties..... Oh and I had cataract surgery a long time ago thank you, both eyes... also had retina surgery twice in one eye..... and another detachment in the good eye a few weeks ago, but it was not the retina, it was the goo in the back of the eye.... but please...ramp up the insults more.... Please allow me to clarify.... I said ALL POLITICIANS.... not just 2... I am not looking at it with tunnel vision.... I'm not taking a political side like you are..... I have worked with them, from both sides of the aisle, and around them, from both sides of the aisle, for 30 years...... they all lie, they all cheat and do what they can to to build their power base and fill their wallet... and they all only care about you and me as far as our vote can get them.

I live with a woman who was born and raised in China who now believes America is going the same way as China, but to her it is worse. IN China there is no expectation that you can make a difference in the political situation, it just is whatever the guy in charge says it is and you have to deal with it. Here, to her, they give you the expectation that you can make a difference, when you really can't. And now she thinks the entire thing is a lie. And with that I have seen and experienced I can no longer counter her argument, because more and more I believe she is right, Deal with something recently that was decided before it started, but they made you think your voice mattered, but it didn't.... they (politicians) did not give a hoot about who or what this would hurt, only that they were very likely getting a big pay day out of it....

Additionally, just so you know, Biden is out of the race and posting obviously stilted cartoons is not proof of anything other than it appeals to you.

And as I said of the 2 running for the position...one is an empty lying suite and the other is just nuts, you figure out which is which. And Neither should be in charge considering the shape the world is in, thinking, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Palestine, North Korea, Taiwan and China. One will be useless and the other will be overzealous.... When they passed the constitution Ben Franklin said we gave you a republic, it is not up to you to keep it...well.... I believe we failed...especially since it appears the Constitution is so much toilet paper to those currently in control and I don't think those that are trying to take control have much more regard for ti either (oh by the way, have you read the Constitution yet).... Now are we done here...or are you just chomping at the bit to get back at me...again.....

Fiore at the time called the allegations “repugnant.” A jury convicted Fiore, a member of the Nevada State Assembly from 2012 to 2016, on all seven counts after less than two hours of deliberation, something Fiore’s attorney claimed was indicative of the jurors having already “made up their minds” before the trial was over.

I remember that Bundy case.

Fiore, who also ran unsuccessful campaigns for governor and state treasurer, is scheduled to be sentenced on January 6, 2025. Each of the counts against her carries up to a maximum of 20 years in prison.

I wonder how people like this end up in politics.

I think any system should be judged by the results it produces. Looking solely at the results and America's position relative to the rest of the world, the last time America had anything close to resembling "good leadership" was under FDR during WW2. When FDR died, America was at the peak of its geopolitical and economic power. His successors rode in on his coattails and also enjoyed their ride on the gravy train (thanks to FDR's economic brilliance) while planting the seeds of our destruction by engaging in a pointless and costly Cold War (which I believe FDR could have and would have avoided if he had lived longer).

By the late 1960s/early 1970s, the party was clearly coming to an end, as America's politics became even more corrupted than they already were, our economy was tanking, and our leadership has presided over the slow, incremental decline and diminishment of America ever since, leading us to where we are now. Carter was probably the last decent President we've had, although he was clearly in over his head in dealing with the corruption and mendacity of the Washington crowd.

Ever since then, we've had nothing but scumbags in power, from Reagan to the current administration.

follow the constitution, don't reinterpret for personal or political gain. Use the laws we have in place and stop ignoring them for political gain. Or at least acknowledge they exist and update them if need be....

In my own personal view, that requires somebody other than textualists to interpret the Constitution. Even the Framers were aware that words change meaning over time, and that they were as incapable as the rest of us in forseeing all possible eventualities.

I rather suspect that an originalist interpretation could never had deemed the President to be quite so immune as the sad crew currently in the majority of SCOTUS.
