I think my religion is fun, just because. In the secular sense, it has so many programs to support the people of the Church, they have some for young children(2-3), children (4-12), young women(12-18), young men(12-18), Relief Society(18+), Elder's Quorum(18+).

They have girls camp, scout camp, dances, activites, etc. This helps people in the church get know each other and to get to know people who believe the same that they do.

I know many people may not think this is fun, but I think it is a blast.

You don't 'sign up' for this. :) It's just a daily part of your life(especially if you grow up in the Church). I love it and the activities aren't necissarily spiritual all the time, they usually have a spiritual message or lesson at the beginning, but the activities for all ages can range from: a day a the park, cooking, sewing, scrapbooking, basketball, soccer, paintballing, waterskiing, etc. etc. etc. We pretty much do anything that's fun and moral.

It's an activity, it's fun, and I am not going to continue this with you, because nothing I've ever said you've taken seriously.

Wicca is by far the most fun religion.

  • There are hundreds of Gods you can choose to worship, from a variety of different backgrounds.
  • Art, poetry, music and creativity in general play an important part in worship.
  • You design your own spells and rituals, collect the herbs for them and make or buy loads of different candles and incenses which are not only useful, but look really cool and create an interesting atmosphere.
  • Many different tools are avaliable to you to use eg. wands, athames and chalices. Plus you arrange them on an altar of your own design which you can decorate with statues and images of your various deities.
  • Divination also plays an important part, so you get to collect and use a variety of different tarot decks, rune stones and I-ching sticks.
  • If you're in a coven, then you get the closeness of an extremly tightly bonded group and you can tailor your worshipping style to fit perfectly with the kind of people you are.
  • Plus you get the excitement of performing spells, then seeing if they work
Geez, i just made myself jealous...

I agree wicca is fun, lots of my friends are into it and I often go to meetings and take part in spells and stuff, its very fun indeed. I have my own wand and tarot cards :)

Mine is more fun! The Christianity of which I talk is centered on Good feelings towards all men (and women of course), and Love will conquer all.

I like it.:D

My religion isn't fun. Asatru is more about trying to live our lives well as possible... sometimes its fun, sometimes its hard, and sometimes its confusing.

Lots of group activities and fellowship would contribute to the fun factor, as would service activities that give people a sense of purpose and make them feel good about themselves.
On the negative side, those sects that emphasize sin, man's natural depravity and the danger of perdition could probably be ruled out of the contest.

Isn't 'sin' a wrong-doing of the meta-physical domain ? Can one have a sinless faith ?

Umm... A lot of religions claim heaven as a place with no sex, no drugs, no booze, no rock n roll.... Sounds like hell to me! :D To me, heaven should be one big party with no hangovers! Jesus, since he's good at changing water to wine, would be the bartender. St. Michael would be the bouncer. :woohoo: But while on this earth, I'll get more into Wicca, and party with one sexy witch. ;)

Sin notwithstanding, there are faiths that emphasise man's hopeless depravity, and others that celebrate his glorious potential. Some faiths seem to concentrate on man's depravity. They seek to instill a sense of fear and unworthyness.
These sects, it seems to me, are unlikely to instill feelings of joy, exhaultation or "fun" in their adherants:

"The church of perpetual sorrow invites members to a dinner Wednesday eve at the parish house. Unleavened bread and bitter herbs to be provided. Group flagellation to follow."

I think I'd rather opt for a joyous, naked dance under a full moon, thank you...

That's pretty much how I feel about LDS.
