Because unlike god and the ressurection of Jesus there is evidence for all of those things.

Like what? Historical? How do u know that you arent being lied to? You are going by what u were told by someone else. That person(s) could have been lying...

Because I don't need to trust anyone's claim. I can go to the pyramids and touch them, test them and otherwise examine them.

How do you know that the writings wasn't written in the 1700's? Were you there?

How we know that Herodotus wrote it in 430 BC? And that he wrote his Histories?

HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT THE ANCIENT ACCOUNTS ARE AUTHENTIC?

LOL! You guys clutching at straws are hilarious.

He was a Greek Historian.

In Histories II he tells us about the geography of Egypt and the Nile, and tells us about the pyramids.

You can download and read for yourself a translation of the whole set -

You are telling me what someone TOLD you. You don't know whether he was a historian or if he ever existed. How do you know? You were not there. You people want to play this big skeptic role when it comes to even the naturalistic claims and history of Christianity and the bible...so I am playing the same skeptic role when it comes to things that you actually believe are historical...and the fact of the matter is simple, you do not know whether Herodotus ever existed, all you know is what you were told by someone else, and you simply accept by faith that you are not being lied to by "historians".

But when it comes to Jesus, the Gospels, and Christianity, all of a sudden "I don't believe this, and I don't believe that"...and "We know this isn't true" or "We don't know if its true".

It is a double standard, and even flat out hypocritical. So let's continue to play that game. You don't know whether Herodotus wrote ANYTHING. You could be being lied to. You were not there. Point blank, period.

And as usual YOU are being ridiculous.

YOU asked about proof concerning the pyramids. We told you there were multiple writings from different cultures, by people that actually visited them, art on ancient temple walls showing them, archaeology, etc., - AND - I pointed you to an actual Greek historian - that talks about the geography of Egypt and the Nile, and the pyramids.

What do we get - your ridiculous crap up above.

Real history has multiple sources, archaeology, etc.

The Bible is just a book, with no proof, which includes walking dead people, which such, add to it NOT being real history.

And as usual YOU are being ridiculous.

I am being about just as ridiculous as you are regarding Jesus Christ.

First off, I asked for proof regarding who built them and when they were built, and on that note, you have NOTHING but what you were told. We have multiple non-Christian sources involving Jesus Christ too...and we also have a Jewish historian in Jospheus...we have geography of the Egypt and the Nile? Well, we have geography of Israel and Palestine. So I've matched you in terms of sources, historians, and geography...so now what?

How are your "sources" any better than mines?? They aren't...you are simply prejudice towards theological claims, thats what.

What do we get - your ridiculous crap up above.

It isn't ridiculous to me. You people have such a difficult time believing "The apostle Matthew wrote the book which is contributed to him", but you can willingly accept "Historian Herodotus wrote Histories". That is one of the biggest double standards I've ever seen in my life...and it is quite sickening.

Real history has multiple sources, archaeology, etc.

I agree.

The Bible is just a book

And what is Histories?

with no proof

What proof do you have that anything in Histories are true?

which includes walking dead people

No it doesn't include walking dead people...it includes people that resurrected from the dead, and once that happened, they were no long dead...so they were "walking living people".

And if God exists, and he chooses to resurrect someone from the dead, then that is his prerogative.

Not to mention the fact that, apparently "walking dead people" is so absurd, but some of you believe that inanimate matter suddenly "came to life". How is inanimate matter coming to life any LESS absurd than the dead coming to life??

I will forever fight against such nonsensical notions.

, which such, add to it NOT being real history.

You were not there..so you don't know what is true or what is false...all you know is what you were TOLD, and what you were told could be false.

Same old bull.

I know that dead people don't get out of their graves, donkeys don't talk, etc.

This is myth.

I know that dead people don't get out of their graves, donkeys don't talk, etc.

This is myth.

The hypothesis is that these things happened because there exists an Almighty God, and if God exist, then it is child's play for him to allow dead people to rise, and donkeys to talk.

Unless you can prove that God doesn't exist, then you have no case.

Better now than later. It is foolishness when I question something that you believe huh? But when you question anything biblical related, everything is just peachy, huh?
Naw, you tease and then fail, tease and then fail and then tease and then fail again. You're like an old, ugly, truly uncoordinated stripper and, frankly, it is getting boring.

I (for one) am tiring of helping providing you with the attention that your seem to crave.

As usual you have that backward.

We live in a world of science that works just fine, and has no evidence of any God.

You believe in a God, which is your right, but when you want us to believe such - then YOU have to prove to us that this nonexistent being actually exists.

A book of myth, with walking dead, talking donkeys, a too small Ark, evil spirits, someone surviving three days in a big fish, all kinds of magic - magic wand making, fertility magic, healing cloth magic, scrying, etc., won't do it.

We live in a world of science that works just fine, and has no evidence of any God.

The existence of God isn't a scientific question.

You believe in a God, which is your right, but when you want us to believe such - then YOU have to prove to us that this nonexistent being actually exists.

If I proved to you that this being existed, then it wouldn't be a "non-existent" being now, would it?

A book of myth, with walking dead, talking donkeys, a too small Ark, evil spirits, someone surviving three days in a big fish, all kinds of magic - magic wand making, fertility magic, healing cloth magic, scrying, etc., won't do it.

If God exists, then why are these things so difficult to accept? Second, again, you believe that inanimate matter suddenly "came to life" and began thinking, eating, talking, and having sex..and quite frankly, that is more absurd than anything that you mentioned above.

If I recall right we are here because you claimed you'd present proof

I claimed I would provide historical evidence..which I did.

... and we have yet to see any.

Then you need thicker glasses.

Now you ask us to provide proof? You are truly a strange piece or work.

A statement was made based on an assumption that God doesn't exist, and if that is the case, then I'd like some evidence for the assumption.

You continue to ignore what is actually said to you - in context.

The universe runs just fine with science, and no God in it.

There is no evidence of any God.

You can believe in a God if you wish, along with Falun Gong, and the Hare Krishna, etc.

Your belief does not make your Gods fact.

It is YOU whom want us to believe in your God.

So - prove your God actually exists.

The universe runs just fine with science, and no God in it.

If you have car and put it in gear, get out of it, and watch it continue to move forward in motion...you can say "The car is running just fine, with no driver in it".

But that says NOTHING about the origin of the car, does it?

You people can continue to make illogical statements, and I will continue to put things back in its proper and logical perspective.

There is no evidence of any God.

There is also no evidence of inanimate matter coming to life, either..but has that stopped you from believing that?

You can believe in a God if you wish, along with Falun Gong, and the Hare Krishna, etc.

Sorry, but based on my religion, one is enough.

Your belief does not make your Gods fact.

I agree, and your lack of a belief in God doesn't make it a fact.

It is YOU whom want us to believe in your God.

I am just giving positive reasons why I believe Christianity is true...take it or leave it...it is your eternity, not mines.

So - prove your God actually exists.
