The RF Member Trivia Thread

While musing about the state of the universe, life, and everything in the shower today, I thought to myself, "We have a thread summarizing the history of RF, so why not have a thread listing some RF member trivia?" After all, this is not just a debate and discussion forum but also a community. It couldn't hurt to have something for fun that would also tell us more about the non-debating aspects of the membership and remind us all that this is a community of diverse people, not mere religious and political pundits (such as myself, as the self-appointed Dear Leader of RF!).

If you have any interesting personal stories or facts about yourself that you would like to be listed in the "RF Member Trivia" thread, feel free to submit them either here or via PM to me. However, please note that not all stories or personal facts will necessarily be listed in the thread after submission. I will still have to go through them and decide whether or not they are within the boundaries of the rules, among other things. Feel free to mention stories or things about yourself no matter how trivial they are just as long as you find them interesting. Even your favorite food would be okay to mention!

After going through the list of submissions, I will then start a new thread in the introduction forum and sticky it there. All members are welcome to submit personal stories or trivia to be shared in the thread.

I'm tempted to take you up on it, but I've been on this forum for so long, and there are so many posts already with facts and trivia about me, that it probably would be overkill to be included in your thread.

I think it's an excellent idea in general though.

While I understand your point, I still think including even our longest-term members in the thread would be a good idea. Think of how many new people would get to know all of those facts and trivia much more quickly and easily when they are in one place rather than divided among different threads.

It's up to you, of course, but I urge you to please consider participating, and I extend that urging to other long-standing members as well.

When I was 9 or 10, I was in my dad's car moving the steering wheel around to pretend like I was driving. Something clicked, and the car slowly went rolling down the driveway. My sister was in the back seat and like a smarty pants she jumped out of the car. I was in the front seat petrified! No one was hurt and the incident faded into myth. But because of that memory, I never move the driving wheel when the car is off

I think it's a good idea.

If nothing else, it will keep all of the RF members busy scouring the forum for all of the true stories they made up about themselves.
