The Romans as Descendents of Troy

How historical is Virgil's Aeneid in it's claim that Rome was built by the descendents of the survivors of Troy?

Not to be rude, but how does this have to do with a religion?
Wouldn't it be better off in the Historical debate or discussion forum?

And has for the OP, I don't know. What else does he say about it, what ishis evidence behind way he thinks they might be?

Well Azakel I just thought I'd start a thread about the old religions, since there isn't nearly enough about them. As for evidence, well there really is none, except the extreme similarities in Greece and Rome's culture. Rome and Greece were more alike in the ancient world then Rome and Carthage, which is where most historians say Rome's founders were from. They could be wrong

I understand starting thread about the old ways but I still don't see how asking if one culture is from another older culture has anything to do with they religions. Maybe it's just me.

It's nice to think of the old countries when we think and contemplate on their way of life. It's nice to remember Rome and Greece :)
