The Six Thousand Year Old Word! Maybe for Real!

So, the other day, I'm siting in the coffee shop, quite coolly and oh so slowly turning the pages of my irresistibly sexy copy of The American Heritage Dictionary of Indo-European Root Words so as to come across as magnetically seductive to the local babe population* (I mean, pro-tip here: women simply can't resist a man with a "lexicographical touch"**) when I come across a word so striking that I even forget for a moment the exact number of babes wearing low-cut tops in the shop. I mean, pro-tip here: Math skills -- absolutely essential if you're a real aficionado of the ladies! .***

Seems there's a word been around maybe six thousand years and it meant the same back then as it means today.****

Yeah, I know. That was the first thought through my head, too: Just drop a word like that in about any single woman's ear and her dress flies off faster than you can ring room service to come change the linens to rubber sheets. I mean, pro tip here: Women simply can't resist a good root.*****

So here's the six thousand year old meaning: "A upright support in the wall of a hut".

Yeah, I know you got it now: Stud. noun. Modern day meaning: "an upright support in the wall of a building to which sheathing, drywall, etc., are attached."

Maybe as much as 6,000 years unchanged. For real.******

*A "Babe Magnet"? Sunstone? Impossible! He can't be thinking that.

**My God! He is thinking that!

*** [FACEPALMS] Can we get a break here? Is that too much to ask?

****Oh, now he thinks he's a scholar. The poor man's gotta be doing cartwheels and jaywalking at the same time in his own head for sure.

*****Really? Again? Does Sunstone ever actually test his theories?

******About as plausible as a donkey getting elected President! Hey, wait a minute. A donkey did get elected President, and Sunstone....Sunstone might be right about something! Oh Gods! The End Times are nigh!

As a studologist, there are two types of wood experts. One is a craftsman who erects houses and buildings with studs

Here we have wood studs practiced by a craftsman. The erection process of framed studs is involved But also very fast.

Here we have an artist playing on his wooden instrument. Now this requires a totally different skill set. But clearly done properly , women are extremely attracted to males who play such instruments. Here fingers and proper stroking are required. Now it seems our own Bsm1 has this aspect down pat. He is the expert. Why? Because he as a lovely wife in spite of himself that's an artist right there.

She never lets me use the word "stud". I have to refer to myself as the "upright wall support" on stage.

The other is a "stud" that erects with "wood".
Yes but the lovely wife is a real hit and miss for them!!! That's an empirical fact.. scientific even. A bit of a nail bender issue. I personally bent the nail on That.

Would you recommend that book to someone with insomnia?

Certainly not! The Dictionary of Indo-European Roots is gripping reading. A real page turner. The plot has so many twists on even just a single page that it's virtually all but impossible to guess how things will turn out in Z end.
