So, the other day, I'm siting in the coffee shop, quite coolly and oh so slowly turning the pages of my irresistibly sexy copy of The American Heritage Dictionary of Indo-European Root Words so as to come across as magnetically seductive to the local babe population* (I mean, pro-tip here: women simply can't resist a man with a "lexicographical touch"**) when I come across a word so striking that I even forget for a moment the exact number of babes wearing low-cut tops in the shop. I mean, pro-tip here: Math skills -- absolutely essential if you're a real aficionado of the ladies! .***
Seems there's a word been around maybe six thousand years and it meant the same back then as it means today.****
Yeah, I know. That was the first thought through my head, too: Just drop a word like that in about any single woman's ear and her dress flies off faster than you can ring room service to come change the linens to rubber sheets. I mean, pro tip here: Women simply can't resist a good root.*****
So here's the six thousand year old meaning: "A upright support in the wall of a hut".
Yeah, I know you got it now: Stud. noun. Modern day meaning: "an upright support in the wall of a building to which sheathing, drywall, etc., are attached."
Maybe as much as 6,000 years unchanged. For real.******

*A "Babe Magnet"? Sunstone? Impossible! He can't be thinking that.
**My God! He is thinking that!
*** [FACEPALMS] Can we get a break here? Is that too much to ask?
****Oh, now he thinks he's a scholar. The poor man's gotta be doing cartwheels and jaywalking at the same time in his own head for sure.
*****Really? Again? Does Sunstone ever actually test his theories?
******About as plausible as a donkey getting elected President! Hey, wait a minute. A donkey did get elected President, and Sunstone....Sunstone might be right about something! Oh Gods! The End Times are nigh!
