The Sorpion God Belial.

Hello everyone, I would like to take this time and exalt my Great and magnificent Lord and Master Belial. The great Scorpion God. Belial is an ancient deity who has been worshiped since the dawn of time. While some ignorant fools would classify him as a demon I assure you, he is anything but Malevolent .

Lord Belial has helped me in ways no other could. He has made me strong and powerful, and has helped me become the man I always wished that I was.

If anyone has any interest in learning about the great King, I am more than willing to answer.

Belial be Praised! :D

Where did you get the scorpion symbolism from?

It is primarily from the work of Mark Allen Smith. "The Scorpion God. Forbidden Wisdom of Belial" the scorpion symbolizes the armor of darkness and Gnosis. It means unrestrained power and freedom.

Belial is often referred to as "One without a master" His attributes are of self-reliance and self-responsibility. Belial teaches these things as well as power to get what you desire in your life. To be a predator, not the prey so to speak.... much like a Scorpion.

While it appears we have different ideas on precisely what Belial and his history is, I'd be interested to hear what you feel he represents as a deity.

Where are you getting that he was ever viewed as a god, let alone "worshiped since the dawn of time"?

Also, belial is a Hebrew term meaning "worthless"

Lol, the the Israelite s and Christians were notorious for labeling all the other gods of conquered cultures as demons or other sorts of insults. :beach:
Belial was a major foreign but local deity who the Powers that Be of early Judaism wanted to literally demonize so far as their following was concerned. The name is a pun of sorts, a re-working of the Phoenician title Baali A'al, or My Lord on High, or Baal'i Al, Mighty is My Lord. Ancient Hebrew is essentially just one dialect of Phoenician. With a dictionary of Biblical Hebrew, one can hash out the general drift of Punic, the Phoenician dialect of Carthage.

Belial represents... Freedom, to live unrestrained by the laws of God and Man. He is known (specifically for his dark aspect) as "one without a master" he is freedom incarnate. He represents being unchained by the status quo. It is said that he bestows up his followers the power to be self-reliant and to not be a "sheep" like the rest of the herd.

Belial likely has nothing to do with Baal, or at least initially. Originally the term was used in Hebrew texts with no deity being referenced. Later the term was deified/demonized, similar to Mastema and Satan.

Sources, rituals, techniques, anything that can actually work?
