The terrorists of christianity.

There is a type of christian that drives out more demons in a week than jesus did in all of his ministry.

There are christians who speak more in tongues than in an understandable language

There are christians who call themselves generals in the body of christ.

And there are even christians who believe that jesus wont come back until they have taken over the world.

Am i the only christian who finds that when ever certain verses in the bible is taken and warped that it poses a danger not only for the other christians but for the entire world? Im sure im not.

I know there are THOUSANDS upon thousands of christians all over the world, that believe that christians are going to take over the world, and that god has indeed appointed them, anointed them, and commisioned them to do it.

I think they are nuts. What do you think? Is there any scriptural bases for this pinky and the brain mentality?

Take over the world seems more like a military strategy and we Christians are suppose to be peace loving.....
I've never really heard that concept that we are suppose to take over....This might prove to be interesting, I can't wait to hear more.....:D

Just for reference, here are some verses that some claim as justifying violent overthrow of secular governments.

I tell you that to everyone who has, more shall be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. But these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in my presence” (Luke 19:26-27)

Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. I am sent to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law” (Matthew 10:34-35)

He is clad in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, followed him on white horses. From his mouth issues a sharp sword with which to smite the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron; he will tread the wine press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty” (Revelations 19:13-15).

I do not endorse these views, however they are subject to misuse.

I pretty much cleared them out last week. :yes:There has been a shortage of demons this week. I think they are preparing for the easter holidays. Secret sources tell me they are all gathering at a revival somewhere in Toronto.

Last one i cast out got his fingers stuck between the door as i slammed it close behind him. :run:

Love you sis!

But it doesn't say we will take over before the return of Jesus.....The question was about people believing that Jesus would not return until the Christians had taken over......

Oops, that was a double post.

Basically the idea is that jesus cannot return until we have proven to be victorious. Victorious being...taken over the world.

Yes but sometimes I think he is just another ding a ling.....:D

It sure is a ding a ling.. and a ding dong.

According to the KN (kingdom know) followers, god is raising up an army. They call it joels army.

They say that god is about to send what they call the latter rain. Which will usher in a massive revival, and millions will be drawn into the kingdom.

Funny my bible says there will be a great falling away.

Toronto is where some of this trouble started, with the 'toronto blessing' which included gold dust falling out of the sky on peoples bibles and peoples teeth fillings turning into gold.

And it did. Needless to say.. the false signs and wonders are on an increase. It looks very real though.

People have different needs to fill via their religions. And some of them feel they need power, or revenge, or absolute righteousness, to be happy and fulfilled. I think these people have completely misunderstood their own religions, but then religions aren't about logic and reason. They're about emptiness and fulfillment. For a lot of people, "God" is to do for them what they can't do for themselves. Sometimes this practice makes people much better than they would otherwise have been. But sometimes it makes them worse.

Religion is a tool for character building. We can use it to build personalities that we can live happily in. Or we can use it to destroy each other with judgment and blame.

I agree fully. A christian does not have the luxury of power to take over. The power and authority that we have has been delegated to us by christ to serve. Those that are the greatest among us are the servants, not the 'generals'.

And yes, i think that many of these people, who feel like they have been unsuccessfull in the world, and therefore with the backing of god, apparently feel that they can get what they otherwise would not have been able to get by themselves. Now i do believe that there is certainly without a shadow of a doubt, a spiritual force behind this movement. Its gaining momentum at a phenominal rate.

I think that this upcoming great revival, the latter rain revival, that they talk about is exactly what the bible says is the great falling away. People are into experiences and when the signs and wonders increase the hype of the moment, the transcendence of being visited by some spiritual entity could make them feel that they have finally experienced god, and that indeed it can not be anything else but god. Its a trap. A nasty one at that.

Hmmm... seems to contradict the 'love your enemies' thing doesnt it? The parable indicates that jesus is already king yeh? His servants werent.

Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. I am sent to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law” (Matthew 10:34-35)

Indeed the sword sperates the wicked from the righteous, which will cause enmity between the children of god and the world. The sword according to the bible is gods words. Words are the only weapon we have. Seems like a poor weapon, but when jesus curses a tree it worked. He didnt have to use any other method.

Good example. What comes out of his mouth is a sword, which is the words of god.

I believe that "Signs follow the believers" the "believers don't follow signs".....:D

Exactly!

The 'kingdom now' folk believe that they are to rule the world. But this is what jesus says he will do when he returns.

1 Cor 15:24

Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.

What would be the point of ruling and reigning when jesus destroys all earthly dominion, authority and power?

Now this is the thing...they dont believe that it is an earthly dominion, authority or power. They believe it is gods kingdom authority and power here on earth.

But the scripture also says that he hands over the kingdom to god. So are these christians working to take over the world for god?

This is what the bible says:

''We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one''

It is this control that jesus comes to destroy. He does not destroy it until he returns.

The bible says that we have 'to endure till the end'. The end of the period where satan has a leash to do what he wants. But its coming to an end.

The bible says that satan has some power until god puts satan under the foot of jesus. Jesus has already overcome him, he has already destroyed his power to hurt his children, but satan is still the ruler of this earth. And he does that through human goverments and control.

These goverments need to be destroyed in order for jesus to hand the kingdom over to his father, which will then give the goverment of the world over to jesus. ''the goverment of the world is upon his shoulders''

Now i believe that the christians who are bent on taking over the world, are getting their authority from somewhere but it is not jesus. It is from the satan himself. It is an apostate religion. They abdicate their position of servants and instead want to rule the world. Even the angels in heaven who abdicated their position were not spared and are not spared of judgement.

We are to 'hold on to what we have' until jesus returns.

The bible says that many will say 'peace peace' but the way of peace is not within them.

We are to watch and pray!

One good thing about this is that its a clear sign that things are coming to a head. Our lord shall soon return.

Well they're not terrorists, that's for sure. They are fakes, though. It's very wrong to consider these people as dangerous as terrorists (who KILL people).
