Unfortunately, there are nuts in any group. Best we can do is make a good impression to counter what people think.
Any time someone reads something, there is a chance that he or she will warp it's meaning into anything. Kind of like when Nietzsche was warped by Hitler. It happens.

Well they're not terrorists, that's for sure. They are fakes, though. It's very wrong to consider these people as dangerous as terrorists (who KILL people).

Maybe, but then terrorist groups didnt start out by killing first, they had to intention to do it before they did it. Judas didnt kill jesus, he just helped him get killed.

Some more info on the rise of christian dominionism. If im not mistaked Sarah Palin is a deminionist as well?

Take over the world seems more like a military strategy and we Christians are suppose to be peace loving.....
I've never really heard that concept that we are suppose to take over....This might prove to be interesting, I can't wait to hear more.....:D

Mennonites are peace-loving. Church of the Brethren is peaceful. Quakers are peaceful. But most of the other Christian denominations have a pretty spotty history.

For most of it's history Christianity did try to 'take over' wherever it went -- and not by gentle persuasion. And even today supposed Christians can be found by the thousands in the military.

I was speaking with the intent of some of today's Christians who have taken so much out of context and do teach and preach of "Christians taking over" before the return of Jesus.....
Thanks for your post in response to mine, but this is dealing with prophecy and what is to come in the near future according to some denominations teaching....Actually some of these churches are springing up because some of the members have such radical thoughts that they are no longer part of their mainstream denomination....It is some of these radical thinkers that become cults such as Jim Jones among a few others.....
Some of them wanting to make their own eutopia where only Christians rule and live....

And whats up with sarah palin? She might be 'hot' but she aint no prophetess.

Daily Kos: New revelations re Palin and dominionists

The 'kingdom now', 'latter rain', 'elijah company' followers are in my opinion the biggest threat to the gospel of jesus christ. (These 'brothers' and sisterens of ours - are acting like judas, who would betray their fellow brothers and sisters for a butt kissing campaign with the world)

Then there are the ted bundies...uhh sorry i mean the todd bentley's. (Same thing really) who fill up football stadiums with harley davidson wannabe's and give reverence to an angel called ...well the latest one is the angel of liberty. Perhaps he wants us to forget about the last angel, who he called emma-0, by devine revelation.

It was devine revelation alright. Divine reveation from saint nick. Emma-o is known by occultists in japan as the king of hell. LOL...oopps. (He's pretending he did not hear it right)

Anyway... the pinky and the brain mentality is at times ludicrous, but why are so many people falling for it.

Bruce wilkonson who visited south africa in 2005 left with his tail between his legs (the poor are not stupid), and then there is Rick Warrens dodgy connection to africa including the banning of condoms.

You live you learn.

Didn't Jesus tell his followers to be no part of the world? It's amazing how far Christian religions can take people from the path Jesus actually walked.
Maybe people's beliefs are sort of like those ink blot cards psychiatrists use.

Yes, and how appropriate to target the poor. By humanitarian efforts they aim to trap the unsuspecting vulnerable and poor with their ideologies. Generally the poor will follow just about anybody that feeds them.

Put a piece of bread in the one hand of the poor and a gun in the other, and you have a faithful soldier.

Strangely enough though, it's the "gentle" persuasion that's probably done the most damage in destroying native cultures.
