If during the flood there was a high degree of vulcanism with rapid movement of continents there would be warmer oceans and in the post flood world could cool afterwards

...there would have been storms so violent that not even the most modern military and civilian vessels could have remained afloat. Definitely not a 450 foot boat with no propulsion.
You don't need propulsion if the only goal is staying afloat
I suggest you do some research before posting comments based on obvious ignorance of a subject.

The way to do this research is to go out in a boat,
and take some waves broadside. Even I know that
if you dont head straight into a wave, you are done.

(I was on a smallish boat on the S China sea, in
a typhoon)

Secular scientists have many faith assumptions about their speculations
Are you implying that Christian, Muslim and Hindi scientists have no faith assumptions about their speculations?

Or are you, like many apologists, intentionally trying to conflate the two different meanings of the word "faith"?

but God had it rest on a mountain central to 3 continents which would be ideal for animals to spread out from
No, again your opinions are running ahead of your knowledge base ... a wooden ship that size would work badly in the swells and would flood. The longest wooden ship ever built (1909) was the Wyoming, about the same length as your alleged ark, she had a tendency to flex in heavy seas, causing the planks to twist and buckle due to their extreme length despite being fitted with metal bracing. Water was evacuated nearly constantly by steam pumps. She foundered in heavy seas with the loss of all hands (1924). You really do need to start extending your background knowledge before making wild and unsubstantiated claims, especially when engaging in debate with people who posses professional knowledge concerning the fields you pontificate upon.

Most geologist do believe in the breaking up of continents but a rapid movement of say India ramming into Asia is a better explanation of the Himalayas than a very very minutely slow movement

Depends on what you mean by the term 'rapid'. In this case, it is the difference between 50 million years and perhaps 25 million years.

Here's some information: Indian Plate - Wikipedia
