BTW we have acutely denied the trinity a long long time agoYou have to learn something new now.
The word trinity is not in the Bible, nor is the trinity doctrine.
I did explain it. You just deny the truth.
The Bible says that Jesus is the Word of God, and was with God in the beginning, and WAS GOD.
And yet you push the doctrine...so what do you call it? "A rose by by any other name....."You have to learn something new now.
The word trinity is not in the Bible, nor is the trinity doctrine.
John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
You do not just disagree, you resort to insults.
Do you remember saying these lies about me:
"You appear to see yourself as some sort of crusader.....but your stance is not Christ-like. You want to force things down people's throats, when Jesus never taught like that. He never forced people to listen to him, nor did he make people feel worthless. He appealed to their sense of reason and presented the truth for them to either accept or reject. He never 'guilt-tripped' anyone nor did he berate them for not accepting his words.
I do not doubt your zeal, but your approach is not at all inviting.....it is rather repelling. "
Actually, the name Jehovah is not Greek, and it is not Hebrew. It is the American transliteration of the Latinized form of the Hebrew word "יְהֹוָה" or YHWH.but you said ''Jesus calls himself the exact name GOD calls Himself in the Old Testament''
BTW that would be'' Jehovah ''
That is so true. Arch's have dug up stone tablets from other countries that talk about the children of Israel and their God, YHWH. Thought that was wonderful reading about that.Actually, the name Jehovah is not Greek, and it is not Hebrew. It is the American transliteration of the Latinized form of the Hebrew word "יְהֹוָה" or YHWH.
It's all very well in my honest opinion. I have no intention of calling my God by His First name. As a matter of respect, I don't call my dad by his first name either. I am quite content, as I am sure my God is content if I should call Him Lord, if I should call Him My Salvation. If I should call Him My God.That is so true. Arch's have dug up stone tablets from other countries that talk about the children of Israel and their God, YHWH. Thought that was wonderful reading about that.
Sorry, there is only One God. Just as you have only one father, there is only one Creator who is God.there are many god's and many called lord , how will we know which god your talking about ?
There is only One God. There is only one true God. Sounds like the same thing to me. But as you wish.no , there is only one true God and his name is Jehovah ,always has been always will be.
the verse reads ''There is only One God. There is only one true God. Sounds like the same thing to me. But as you wish.
You can say, as does the Bible, that there are many "gods" and many "lords", and I recognize that people do place before themselves many different gods and lords. But I know there is only one God, and one Lord, as you say. I don't really care what other people think is a god or is not a god. I know God, and I know there is only One.the verse reads ''
4 Now concerning the eating of foods offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no God but one. 5 For even though there are those who are called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him.'
Correct me if I'm wrong, but "Jehovah" is the English translation of the Tetragrammaton. (A translation carried the meaning of the original word, though not not necessarily close to the pronunciation. e.g. Peter = Pierre= Pedro, all different translations of the same name.)Actually, the name Jehovah is not Greek, and it is not Hebrew. It is the American transliteration of the Latinized form of the Hebrew word "יְהֹוָה" or YHWH.
Jehovah, to my understanding is the English transliteration of the Latinized form of the Hebrew word "יְהֹוָה" or YHWH, the "Tetragrammaton" as you call it.Correct me if I'm wrong, but "Jehovah" is the English translation of the Tetragrammaton. (A translation carried the meaning of the original word, though not not necessarily close to the pronunciation. e.g. Peter = Pierre= Pedro, all different translations of the same name.)
Yahweh is a transliteration. (This is how the name may have sounded in Hebrew but is not a translation) This is my understanding....
That is right One came forth from God the Father, and as such, is called a Son.but one is father the other the son
If only all this were at all importantThat is right One came forth from God the Father, and as such, is called a Son.
What do you call someone who comes forth from you?
In addition, tell me, do you believe you have the Holy Spirit in you?
Do you have Jesus Christ living in you?
How many Spirits were you given?
You do NOT say what the scriptures say.one had a beginning . the other, his beginning can not be contemplated
