Attributing the end of the Cold War to one person's actions seems incredibly naive.

I don't think you are really gonna find much respect for Thatcher outside of the UK, and even then, half the UK doesn't admire her too much. Some in America do, but the majority of American's haven't read a civics book, so...

she was not so much strong, but what is called pig headed.

I wish she had been enlightened,we'll see how much of a hero she was regarded at the funeral,what the government are giving her a military funeral for I guess only a conservative twit would know,still she,like our government today was so out of touch,we have dumb and dumber at the helm now.

I recall that she turned around a moribund economy. I worked with many British ex-patriots in the
aerospace industry, & she addressed what they lamented, eg, state run industry, trade unions.
She also helped develop soft serve ice cream (as a chemist). How many of your PMs can claim that?!?!

Generally I don't think it's right to speak ill of the dead. Exceptions for Thatcher and Cromwell are justified.

We already had Mr Whippy with a Cadbury Flake chocolate bar,she wasn't so much at the helm,but at her helm and her cabinet were so slimy they left a trail that led all the way to prison for at least one of them,her office was all about greed,theirs and the peoples,still at least one of them gave birth to a daughter who is now a TV cook and has big turrets.

Agreed,i think there are going to many who feel the same way and they will let their presence felt at the funeral.
