My favorite comment on the Birthers came from my mother, who is a dyed-in-the-wool Republican, absolutely hates Obama and is convinced that he's a Muslim Communist who wants to take away her Medicare and Social Security and kill all the old people. (Yes, she watches FakeNews every day.)

My aunt started explaining one day how she was sure Obama was really born in Kenya, and my mother impatiently cut her off in mid-sentence. "Oh, for God's sake!" she snapped. "If he was really born in Kenya, don't you think the Clintons would have brought that out during the primary?"

That's he's a Nazi. Which is ridiculous. The Nazis tortured people in concentration camps and let people perish in ghettos. Whereas Obama is closing Guantanamo Bay and fighting for health care for uninsured people in the inner city.
