Both :D. I was going to wait, but I'm the impatient sort. I went and bought it at the midnight release here though. We got it 2 days before you lot :D

Yeah, I wasn't too convinced this was the best they could come up with to be honest. It almost seems like a rhythmically reinvented Lateralus... kinda feels a little like they've given up in some ways.

makes me sad :(

GY!BE - Sleep

Rejected

Under Reconstruction
It does follow heavily on Lateralus's heels as far as the sound and structure of the songs go. But, there is a little rub off of some of their touring partners (meshuggah) and it feels like Maynard is starting to feel a little compassion for the human predicament.

Has The World Gone Topsy-Turvy???

But seriously, they don't seem to have grown much since the last album, but that isn’t saying that they haven't at all. It seems to me that they've grown comfortable with themselves and their music and that’s just fine. No matter what they're still one of, if not THE, the most talented bands on the planet.

Oh without a doubt one of the most talented. I just feel like there's something missing. A little bit of that creative need they used to have maybe. Never been a big "Maynard" fan to be honest, although there are a few lyrics I can relate to. Mostly Lateralus, Third Eye Undertow and Right in Two.
