So, maybe I'm stupid, but Dylan did the original version of Subterannean Homesick Alien???? I got lost on that exchange. Anyone care to explain?

Dylan did Subterannean Homesick Blues, which I think could be considered a strong influence on the naming of that track.

The Dylan track is from his album Bringin' it all back Home ;) Hope that clears it up :D

On a side note, there's a FREE podcast on Bob Dylan available, with a complete audio biography, plus some unreleased tracks and live stuff available on iTunes Music Store. Didn't cost me a cent :D

Thanks for clearing that up Chris. I'm not well versed in Dylan.

Just finished "Lake of Fire" and "In the Palms" covers by Nirvana.

Original artists in case anyone would like to check either out are : Lake of Fire - Meat Puppets ("II" album) which is an excellent example of early Desert/Stoner Rock. I'm not sure who wrote "In the Palms", I think it might be an old Jazz or American Slave song, but it's been covered by a lot of people, including Joan Baez.
