YouTube - the upper peninsula

The Upper Peninsula, by Sufjan Stevens. The song does capture the bleakness that can pervade up here, but I swear it's not always that depressing. The photos of the video are an excellent look into Yooper environment; I pass some of those landmarks, and others that look just like them, on a daily basis. That's really how it looks up here, everywhere.

I Will Remember You by Sarah Mclachlan. Not listening to it now but was on the radio. What's funny is the song came on while I was looking through a bunch of photo albums, one of my friend who passed away about a year ago. The song kind of made me think about him.
