Ayreon - Day Two: Isolation

You didn't tell me that it was an electronica site! Hoooray and frubals for the lead....I listened to 10 snippets of stuff but would like a recommendation of something to buy. Do you think I can get a cd here in the States? I want to get a new cd today. :)

Electronica? Bite thy tongue! :p

There are a fair amount of keys and synth used, it's true, but it's definitely more Prog Rock (and Prog Metal on some discs) than Electronica. Which samples did you try?

I'd personally recommend trying to find one of two Ayreon albums, either Into the Electric Castle or The Human Equation. Either is good. You might be able to find them in stores that stock music that isn't just mainstream pop or "alternative" stuff. Probably a good idea to ring around and ask.

.

They are only 25 second samples but I listened to an AF sequence which might be another band. I didn't spend much time reading, only downloading. And I liked two samples titled Arjen G & Arjen K. Some of the other tunes remind me too much of 70's rock so I would pass on those I think. Tell me of some other samples to try please? I'm very interested now. :D

There are samples from The Human Equation which might be worth a listen. They're listed by the singer that the sample features. I suggest checking out the one for Day Three: Pain and the ones for Day Two: Isolation. Or just checking out the samples for that album in general.
