The X-Files!!

I never got into the X-files, I'm not sure why because I like most things Sci-Fi in nature.
I never did either but I understand why and I admit the reason is a bit weak and a might hypocritial. I don't like to see the phenomenon fictionalized. I understand that many aspects of the UFO phenomenon have never been proven but I just do not like to watch them in a fictionalized setting. I prefer watching Discovery and History channel documentaries.

I don't believe in any of that, which is probably why I do like to watch The X-Files. :D

I used to be such a UFO geek, plus I had a crush on Scully.

I still think they're great though, got them all on DVD and watch 'em when there's nothing good on.

If I was to get into the X-Files, I would probably rent the DVDs and begin with Season 1 and take them on a season by season basis.

That would be one heck of an X-Files fest. My personal favourite is season 2, I think it has the best episodes.

(EDIT: The first movie) It was a very complicated movie, that you would probably not entirely understand if you hadn't seen a couple of key episodes...

More or less, there was this black oil stuff that was alien and a huge government conspiracy... and Mulder and Scully were trying to figure it out and whatnot, but the government had to stop them from doing so...

The new movie has nothing to do with the other one, and you would understand most of it even if you had never seen the show before... Of course there were a few little things that the fans of the show would have gotten, like little things about the characters... I loved it. :D

When the music played, and then the little place and time came in the bottom left of the screen like they always did on the show, I was like "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!! X-Files!! yay!!" It was so great. :D

I think people expected it to be bigger than it was, while they should have expected it to be more like another episode, only longer... I think true fans of the show would have loved it, but a lot of the critics seemed to not care much for it. :(
