Give it a rest. Nations are always in turmoil. During WW1 and WW2 your bible thumping counterparts were screaming the END IS NIGHT.
The fact of the matter is that modern day nations have way less turmoil than almost any point in history. I mean the bible says generic things like "There will be plagues, and famines, and wars!!!!!!"
Really unspecific things that have always occurred many times throughout history.
If you say so.....who am I to burst your bubble?
The truth is that we have reached a point in human history where we can look back at the past and clearly see the error of our ways......so we have no real excuse for the way we behave any more. We are not primitive uneducated barbarians. Yet here we are, still experiencing the fallout from behaviors that have gone on for thousands of years....repeated and repeated, generation after generation, because we never learn from our past mistakes.
How does that saying go.....? "The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing but expecting a different result"?
When the Bible speaks about our day, with the plagues, famine and wars....humans are out of excuses.
