Please provide one example of the Bible's contributions to science.

I don't need to.

Or you can't...

Deuteronomy 4:19
And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven.

  1. 1 Corinthians 15:41
The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.
1 Corinthians 15:40-42 (in Context) 1 Corinthians 15 (Whole Chapter)
Scriptural support that alludes to God as the Creator of the universe and heavenly cosmos.
That is a nice belief, but I asked for contributions to science from the Bible, as you claimed.

I believe. . . The holy Bible is the authoritative word of God.... even though most educated Christians believe otherwise.

There. Fixed it for you.

It can be read as book that can contribute to science.

I was OEC, but can still consider myself one if ToE keeps being equated with Atheism.
Only fundamentalists confuse ToE with atheism. Most other folks realize ToE has nothing whatsoever to do with religion.

In what way do you feel that contributes to science, exactly? The Christians were hardly the first people ever to look up at the sky.

When you read the bible in a scientific context. (the study of the natural world)

(exploring a biblical worldview through the lens of science.)

Anyway, the science behind TE makes it logical to accept it as a scientific theory.

However, I see myself reverting back to OEC.

Well, power to you. It's a few steps up from YEC at least. However, if you're feeling brave, I recommend The Greatest Show on Earth so you can get a thorough understanding of the ToE before rejecting it. It's Dawkins but he is doing what he ought to be doing all the time - IOW, writing about evolution, which he understands, rather than religion, which he doesn't. I've never seen a better treatment of the subject anywhere, and I read quite a lot of popular science.

Whatever floats your boat. :) I explore a naturalistic worldview through the lens of science, so who am I to judge? As long as we're both making efforts to incorporate the empirically demonstrable truths we come across into our spiritual beliefs, we're not the problem.

I'll agree with that and also suggest Your Inner Fish and Why Evolution is True.
