Seeing that the Universe is never ending, logic dictates that there could be a never ending amount of Earth like planets, even if only 1 in a billion are Earth like.

And resist Star Trek. Watching Spock only speeds up the inevitable. It will also curse your spelling, as I am a witness to my own demise.

Logic does ot dictate anything of the sort. Logic says that a lacking a burden of proof is lacking in what you said.

Does saying that something "could" be really require a burden of proof?

I think that that is very possible, that is if the government might have invented some kind of illusional space so that all that we see are planets that have no evolution. I mean we can not be the only life out there....

Not really. He has a point. It is within the realm of possibility that we are the only life forms. I would assign that a very low probability though.

First of all this is not a debate forum but a discussion. Next the concept that there must be life on other planets because there are so many other planets was offered as being logical yet it uses a logic fallacy. The burden of proof is missing.

You offered that there must be other life out there. I said that isn't a must. Simply speaking, either there is or there isn't. Both are possibilities. I just pointed out one of the possibilities. Now you don't want to discuss it and claim that I have a closed mind?:slap:
