the bible is misused. people should approach critically the bible. especially the OT. afterall what jesus says matter in the end.

The bible is a book to be read. Reading it as written shows the horror of the book. Cherry picking can make the reader think that its a perfect book. Who misuses it? The one who reads it all as written or the one who selectively reads only what massages the ego?

It's a cop out but not restricted to the Bible,things that were the norm a long time back in antiquity shouldn't even be a thought now imo.

that preaches evil. All religions talk about love. So people are free to choose whichever religion they like! All religions are correct. All people can unite. And atheists have to say to other people that they choose love and not evil. How can atheists show to other people that they don't choose evil?

My son is an atheist and he is the most wonderful person morally that I have ever met. He corrects me if I get angry or am hurt. He has a true spiritual understanding. Yet, he is not at all spiritual. I don't know where he gets his ideas. He just says that he is always working on himself to be his best self.

Almost no ancient religion 'preached' about love. This modern idea of preaching and universal love had no real existence in ancient religions.
