There's a chance that the Political Compass test isn't accurate

As accusations fly online of the Political Compass test possibly having left-wing bias to it in addition, people on Reddit are testing some charts from the Political Compass website where it is listing where "Obama, Sanders, Trump, etc" land on a scale, and comparing it with themselves doing the test, manually answering how they think these politicians would answer.

When you compare the tests posted on the website, it shows the US as being far to the right and having a "Right" bias. However, people are now saying online, and trying to demonstrate, that when they input the data manually to the best of their ability for how they think these politicians would answer, the US doesn't have a "Right" problem, and someone like Obama or Sanders are actually pretty far to the Left.

At this time, I haven't tried to test such a thing myself, but I do have a chart from the website showing how they consider things to be:

The Political Compass

In personal tests, people are claiming they get much different results for figures such as Obama and even Sanders.

Also, here's some additional reading from 2019: The Political Compass Test is Garbage | www.splicetoday.com
The political compass is just yet another Boston Grid, reducing a complex issue to two axes, both of which are tendentious choices. It's pretty crude.

The economic axis is actually an axis of economic liberalism, not conservatism at all..

It isn't accurate. Some of the questions are irrelevant or leading, like the one about children keeping secrets from parents.

The 8values test is my current favorite political test.

Most countries, developed or otherwise, have laws against speech that incites violence. Irrational speech per se isn't the issue; it's speech that causes violence against any specific group or individual.
I suppose that would be understandable.

Why should we dictate what others state? We can’t block off people expressing their opinions no matter how irrational they are, that’s dictating the evolution of society.
So there you are - expressing a fairly rightwing opinion, which is fair enough, but that's what we all do - speak as we find from our own viewpoint. For me, what you consider extreme in this case, I consider to be a straightforward civilised position to take. For me, permitting public declarations on social media supporting, say, fascism should certainly be banned. Fascists may think otherwise.

Yeah but at what point can we decide what point of views to not consider? Just hateful ones? Why are people not allowed to express their true opinions, so long as it’s without trying to initiate a mob?

Well here is the law in the UK, with which I concur: (No doubt some will see this as an example of a communist state, but we've had a very rightwing government for over a decade; and various laws have been brought in since 1986 - the first of which was by a tory government)

"Expressions of hatred toward someone on account of that person's colour, race, sex, disability, nationality (including citizenship), ethnic or national origin, religion, gender reassignment, or sexual orientation is forbidden.
Any communication which is threatening or abusive, and is intended to harass, alarm, or distress someone is forbidden. The penalties for hate speech include fines, imprisonment, or both."

@Secret Chief
@Left Coast

My results are very similar to Left Coast, but I got a different tag (Social Liberal rather than Centrist). Does this mean I should immediately declare war on Centrists??
