Notice a jehovah witness , a Catholic, a Mormon, SDA ect ,will never walk you through the context of the verse they bring up . They will never tell you what the Author is trying to say ,or what the central idea of the text is about . All that matters is ' proof texting ' . This is eiesegesis. Eisegesis (/ˌaɪsɪˈdʒiːsɪs/) is the process of interpreting text in such a way as to introduce one's own presuppositions, agendas or biases. It is commonly referred to as reading into the text.[1] It is often done to "prove" a pre-held point of concern, and to provide confirmation bias corresponding with the pre-held interpretation and any agendas supported by it.

Notice every one mentioned above has a favourite verse they will labour on repeatedly. The Jws will want to take you to Colossians 1.15 . But notice they will never offer a walk through of the verse in context. For Catholics its " On this rock I.ll build my church " . Mormons ,its James " if any one seeks wisdom, ask of God ". SDA it will be any verse that is about the law . Notice its just isolated verses with no clue as to what the overall context is . Let's see if this plays out . Notice the verse each time . Notice its always the same ones .

Thought s ?

Deception does not require you to think.
It only requires you to believe and obey.
Once thinking begins, deception is doomed.
