They went out from us

John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them.

From the Greek:

He that believes in the Son hold life eternal he moreover that is not subject to the Son will not see life but the wrath of God abides on him.

The news I hear coming from the governing body is we must believe in them and make ourselves their subjects for eternal life.

When Jesus said he was the way, he was talking from his inner Christ perspective, and we are all the Christ also, that is when we go within.

Yes. Ephesians 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

JWs do not believe God is in us even though these:

1 Corinthians 6:19
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own

John 2:19,21
Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days." But the temple he had spoken of was his body.

Jehovah's Witness are being taught God is highest. His Son is next. The governing body is next, then the elders, the men and finally the women. They do not believe they will ever have a personal relationship with God.

Regarding the antichrist, he spoke very plainly. He said: “These things I write you about those who are trying to mislead you.” (1Jo 2:26) These men were denying that Jesus Christ was the Son of God that had come in the flesh. He explained that they were once with the congregation but had gone out in order that it might be shown that they were not of “our sort.” (2:19) They were not the loyal, loving sort that “have faith to the preserving alive of the soul” but were the sort “that shrink back to destruction.”—Heb 10:39.

So are you saying that those who were baptized into the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses who now say the governing body is not to be believed are not those who "have gone out"? Is it possible they are still loyal Christ followers? According to the Watchtower published explanation they never were for Christ. Now do you see what I am saying? Are the people who confess Jesus Christ is the Son of God that had come in the flesh, but do not believe Jesus Christ gave rulership to modern man, apostate, or those who never really belonged to the "us" in 1 John 2:19?

If a Jehovah's Witness applies Psalm 146:3 literally and gets away from under the influence of the governing body apostates who have gone "out from us"? 1 John 2:19

Jehovah's Witness are being taught God is highest. His Son is next. The governing body is next, then the elders, the men and finally the women. They do not believe they will ever have a personal relationship with God. They are taught to "wait on Jehovah" when anyone has a difference of opinion than the governing body. I know that people have contacted them with a message they are teaching something wrong and the wrong teaching has not been changed. This does not happen a few times. It seems that anything taught must originate with a member of the governing body for it to be considered.

Joel 2:28 It will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions. 29 Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days

But the governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses teach that it is only them who Jehovah does this through.

Jehovah's Witnesses have long used that verse to support the "disfellowshipping" arrangement or for those that have drifted away. Unfortunately, the context is speaking of those who do NOT believe in JESUS CHRIST.....not Jehovah's Witnesses.

They do something similar at James 5 to support their 'judicial committee' arrangement. Again, that chapter has to do with PHYSICAL healing, not spiritual. However, they use it to their own means.

Does that help?

Thank you. My Kindle so far is going unused. I might try it out with your book.
