if they are offensive, you wont want to see pics of QTR and my wedding. im going as beetelgeuse and QTR s bridal wear is going to be goth vampier. who are they hurting, let them have fun. life is way to serious as it is

I think you'd be surprised by how adult-themed and morbid the manga is. :D Then anime toned it down a bit, and the English version tones it down even more.

I love the manga/anime style but the stories are always so wierd. Why can't they do something tasteful? The only anime I really like is Vampire Hunter D and Princess Mononoke. Most of it is either too weird or too childish for me to enjoy., But I really like the style.

I really don't see anything wrong with it. Who cares what people do for entertainment? Why should it bother you that some people like to dress up as their favorite characters and get together with other people dressed as characters? I doubt they spend any more time on their hobby than other people spend on any other hobby. What I think is really sad is that you tried to attribute some kind of sin to this. If you think anime conventions are stupid just say that you think they're stupid.:rolleyes:

Sigh, the whole Anime convention scene, especially cosplay, is about the celebration of animation. Whether one regards it as childish is up to them, but could you really say that the supposed adult offering "Urotsukidoji" is superior to " My Neighbour Totoro" ?
