So what does this have to do with "us"?

The point is, the same thing happens whenever anyone bombs anyone. When the US, French, UK. Anyone...you get little children like that running through the streets, covered in blood, wondering where their dead parents are. Those children then grow up to remember that it was us that killed their parents, and that generates a deep-rooted hatred for our countries, a deep-rooted hatred that is easy to radicalise.

All these people of ISIS now? I bet a good percentage of them were kids whose parents we killed.

I thought everyone knew that the Syrian government was bombing Syria. The government is fighting the rebels along with ISIS.
Likewise the so-called "rebels" and the Islamic State are fighting and bombing Syrian government forces.

Still can't see the video @Mycroft seems to have linked to under latest versions of Firefox and Flash.
Edit: Sorted it out, Ghostery was blocking the content. :)

Bombing their own country. I think that is crazy! Don't they know about spying and arresting? Of course they do! Is there real proof Syria is bombing Syria? If they are it is a good reason to hate THEM, I think.

Not just bombing...invading, appropriating property and political and economic control from the locals, imposing laws created by a distant unrelated government, imposing use of a foreign language, removing resources...all the impacts of colonialism as practiced by the European nations especially around the world since the 1400s, but can also be seen in prior history as well...

For the record, the hatred goes back much further than this kind of bombing, though the bombing isn't helping to improve much.

There is proof. And, it seems that Assad is using chemical weapons against his own citizens too. Not a great guy, imho.

True, but the rebels and Islamic state are hardly great alternatives...
I agree, but this does allow for the IS to create a propaganda machine for recruiting. It is a nasty situation all around.

So, is this saying 'we' should just let evil rule the world unchallenged because fighting evil can not always be pretty?

Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990 and killed hundreds of Kuwaitis. With your logic, Kuwait and Iraq should be enemies now.
