I grow a rather poor beard, but (as you can see from my avatar) an awesome 'stache. But in fact, I really like well-groomed facial hair on men -- but not long beards and such. A decent covering of 1/4 to 1/2 inch beard is extremely attractive -- to me.

(My lover of 30 years has a beard -- it's white now -- but he has always been forbidden to shave it off! No freedom of choice there! )

I pride myself in my moustache and beard. The beard is patchy in some places, but it's been slowly filling in.

I have to renew my state ID in a couple of weeks and I usually shave my beard off for that (may not this time though), so I figured I'd take a 'before" picture now.

I have a neatly trimmed beard, nothing long or unkempt, and no neck beard. I am not judging anyone else, but that is what I like.

The beard is an absolute necessity as I have no chin.

I prefer to shave every few days or so. I use a Harry's normal shaver on the center then on the sides I trim it up with an electric trimmer. I look really bad with any amount of facial hair. My facial hair resembles my pubic hair. Not good!

I have both a beard and a moustache

Clean shaven has never really been an option for me:

If I do a wet shave it turns into a bloodbath, no matter what technique or products I employ

And no shaving machine can actually get rid of my hair, it will always leave some little pesky bits sticking out

But I do try to keep my beard well groomed

I get it -- my stache is a necessity because I have no upper lip to speak of.

I've certainly fluffed out a bit since leaving the military. Haha. Thank the Gods the hair is still there.
