This is probably the 5th or 6th day I've gotten onto RF after waking and scrolled through the "What's New" and thought....

Ugh.

None of these interest me at all.

I'm only clever enough to come up with my own threads once and awhile. So, I either revisit old threads, or (horror of horrors), find something else to do.

What new threads do you like seeing pop up?
CVE?

That's me. I normally don't bother signing on. Same old same old. I like newcomers asking questions, but usually it's same topic, different people. Do you get prairie crocuses in Iowa, or is there any natural prairie left?

I had to look them up. Never seen one.

There are bits of prairie regrowing here and there. Some farmers are trying to include prairie in their planning(but not many).

There's a farmer nearby that gave back almost all the fields to Maa Nature... its truly beautiful going down that road.

There use to be lots here, and a couple of years back I went to an old haunt and found some. They haven't been very adaptable.

I wonder what the problem is.

My backyard was a tiny prairie last year. Didn't allow it to be mowed at all.
