Some people hate that guy... But I loves him. I watched The Happening three or so weeks ago, and I loved it.

I loved his King Kong movie.
It was amazing. It might be my favourite movie ever.But I also liked The Lord of the Rings.
And another Tim Burton movie that I had forgotten about: Big Fish. ^_^ I like that one too.

Very tough question.
If you love math, I would certainly say "Pi: Faith in Chaos.", but that one is very cult-like.
If you want to enjoy camerawork I'd say: "Requiem for a dream"
If you like complicated stories however, go for "the Fountain".
