There is some talk in physics that time doesn't actually exist.
If this is the case then how do we measure the beginning of our own existence?
No time, no eternity... what then?

Time can be viewed as just a measurement and/a spacial dimension.

Yes. I once heard a comedian (Emo Phillips) give the best description of "eternity": "What is eternity? You're on the checkout line at a supermarket. There are seven people in front of you. They are all old. They all have two carts and coupons for every item. They are all paying by check. None of them have ID. It's the checkout girl's first day on the job. She doesn't speak any English. Take away fifteen minutes from that, and you begin to get an idea of what eternity is."

Eternity defined by The Free Dictionary - Time without beginning or end; infinite time.

Time dfined by the same - A nonspatial continuum in which events occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future.

I like both those definitions so I'll say both are real as defined above.

The concept of time uses change to identify when now exists, did exist or will exist. At so many revolutions of the earth a "now" existed, exists, will exist where something happened. An arbitrary way to identify when an instance of reality existed.

The past no longer exists but at [arbitrary division of change] that instance did exist. Now exists eternally. There is no past, there is no future in reality. However these exist as concepts and we attach to these concepts a label/number to provide an chronological identify to our concept of the past.

I think we confuse a concept which only has actual existence in our head with the reality we experience now. We take for granted the existence of the past and the future.

Bottom line, time doesn't exist (has no physical existence) and now is eternal. It's just we have a running personal commentary that attaches a well, really arbitrary, value to the change we experience.

Perhaps time exists as a dimension of mind giving us the opportunity to choose, so that we can learn and grow.

Time is real. Eternity is a concept of time and is as real as any other concept.

There is some talk in physics that time doesn't actually exist.

Then it is not a serious physics. Time is present in a range of physical equations, starting from elementary v=s/t up to Dirac equation. They all involve time as a necessary component of our reality.

Time and space are one thing.

But not exactly the same thing. They are intertwined continuum. If there is a front side of something, then there is also a back side. They are not the same, but are the sides of that one thing.

There is time and there is a concept of time. The two should not be confused.

I think they are being confused but I'm happy to be shown how time exists separate from it's concept.

Time exists in physics. Question for physicists is: how can something exist, without being supported by a particle.

As a concept, just saying.
