Well, the original Star Spangled Banner was written about a battle during the War of 1812. Here's a song about another battle from that same war, but written much later, and it might work.

Please note that there is a reference to bacon in the song. Songs that reference bacon should be considered top contenders for our new National Anthem.

Given the convention seems to be to ludicrously oversing, and painfully draw out your anthem before any sporting event, I'd be happy with pretty much any instrumental, but would choose the Pink Panther theme tune if I were king of America,
