Tired of seeing extremely over the top violent movies and tv shows

We Never Know

No Slack
For example crap such as the boys and terrifier. You would have to be a psychopath filled with hatred to enjoy such over the top violent crap. But nonetheless this is what is popular in this decade over the top violence perhaps Hollywood is just sick and perverted or maybe people are becoming sick and perverted I don't quite understand it.
As long as there is a profit in it, they aren't going away.

My solution.. I don't watch them.

The Boys is a brilliant & wicked over-the-top Trumpism parody.
There's plenty'o blood & guts flying, but that's only part of the
vast story portraying the dangers of an unstoppable unaccountable
leader. Particularly vicious is the skewering media propaganda.
It could be called something as fancy as "surrealistic".

I love the Christmas song created for the Vought Corp.
The buzzwordy lyrics about children snitching on
progressives.....so very Maga.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Sorry, not into blood and guts. Wait, I'm not sorry. I'm just not into blood and guts.

Needn't be sorry.
I loathe violence when it's irrelevant to story.
I also dislike cartoonish violence where people
would be injured IRL, but it's treated like cartoons.
It's all too common in superhero movies.
In The Boys....even "supes" (super abled humans)
suffer & die. It's an antidote to Marvel & DC.

Oh, well, I doubt I'll see it. I don't think it's aimed at my demographics anyway. You know, older white American woman living in the 21st century.

You must be in the same treatment program as Alex DeLarge. That's bad luck.
Loved the book & movie.
The violence was very cringey, but not grisly.
And there were consequences of the violence.
Trivia....
A theme that didn't appear in book or movie
was that Alex abandoned the "ultra violence"
simply by aging out of that youthful phase.

Being older & white doesn't stop me from loving the show.
Some folk just won't tolerate the violence.
Also, it's anti Trump, so there's that to dissuade you too.

There are tons and tons of movies out there. I watch one every night and literally never watch one that is full of blood and guts. I don't typically watch horror movies either.

I watched Manchester By The Sea last night. Remains of the Day and also Emma the night before. None were full of blood or guts. However, I do love me some Pulp Fiction, but mainly because of the dialogue. Hey, I also loved O Brother Where Art Thou? because of the dialogue so at least I'm consistent. Most of the movies I've listed weren't full of blood or guts. I also loved Trainspotting because of the dialogue. And Ewan McGregor.
